  • Publication number: 20240138024
Abstract: A method for disaster roaming includes initiating disaster roaming search by user equipment (UE) if one of following conditions occurs: the UE receives System Information Block (SIB) from a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), the UE receives a message and/or an information element from the first PLMN indicating an occurrence of a disaster or availability of disaster roaming, and the UE determines out-of-service (OOS) from the first PLMN. The SIB includes at least one disaster roaming information element. The method further includes searching by the UE for a second PLMN to register.

  • Publication number: 20180343689
Abstract: Various solutions for problem cell handling with respect to user equipment in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may transmit user equipment (UE) capability information to a cell. The apparatus may determine the cell as a problem cell in response to no service received from the cell. The apparatus may reduce a size of the UE capability information. The apparatus may further transmit the reduced UE capability information to the problem cell.

  • Patent number: 7634276
Abstract: An intelligent channel allocation method is used for detecting and avoiding a second wireless communication system taking advantage of the characteristic of a first wireless communication system in two different wireless communication system. The first wireless communication system features a narrower bandwidth, while the second wireless communication system has a non-fixed length of a frame for sending/receiving or a broader bandwidth. When these wireless communication system use a same radio frequency (RF) band, the carriers used by them are overlapped. To avoid the mutual interference, the first wireless communication system uses a background scanning mechanism to simultaneously detect the second wireless communication system and a presence range of the second wireless communication system is decided, followed by executing a handover scheme.

  • Patent number: 7301917
Abstract: A multi channels data transmission control method comprises steps of: provide multiple channels and channel counters with the same number, these channels have multiple data frames; based on these channels and data frames to generate an acknowledgement record matrix; partition data into several segments; and arrange every data segment into every channel's frame sequentially and check the transferring status of previous frame of respective channel. If the transferring status of previous frame is incomplete, then skip this channel and arrange this segment into next one's frame. If the transferring status of a channel's frame becomes complete, then the respective channel counter should be increased by 1; record the transferring status of these channels' frames into acknowledgement record matrix; and then, receive data by this acknowledgement record matrix and reflective channel's counters.
