  • Patent number: 8576172
Abstract: A touch system comprises overlapping coordinate input sub-regions defining a generally contiguous input surface. Each coordinate input sub-region generates pointer coordinate data in response to pointer contacts thereon. When a pointer contact is made on a region of a coordinate input sub-region that overlaps with an adjacent coordinate input sub-region, each overlapping coordinate input sub-region processes acquired images to derive pointer data and triangulates the position of the pointer using the derived pointer data. Thereafter, the triangulated positions generated by the overlapping coordinate input sub-regions are processed in accordance with defined logic thereby to determine the position of the pointer contact relative to the touch surface.

  • Patent number: 6947032
Abstract: A system and method for determining pointer contacts on a touch surface includes a touch surface to be contacted by a pointer. At least one imaging device having a field of view looks generally along the touch surface. At least one processor communicates with the at least one imaging device and analyzes images acquired by the at least one imaging device to detect the relative positions of a pointer and a reflection of the pointer therein and thereby determine if a pointer contact with the touch surface has been made.

  • Patent number: 6796620
Abstract: A rail car supplementary brake and energy reclamation and power generating system is disclosed to include a motion unit, the motion unit having a pulley block connectable to the rail car and movable along a track in the rail of the rail car, an energy accumulator unit formed of a spiral power spring mechanism and a pull rope and connected to the pulley block and adapted to reserve elastic energy when the pulley block is pulled by the rail car, a power generator, and a transmission mechanism coupling the pull rope and the spiral power spring mechanism to the power generator for driving the power generator to generate electricity when the pull rope is pulling the spiral power spring to reserve elastic energy as well as when the spiral power spring is the reserved elastic energy.

  • Patent number: 5058613
Abstract: A one hand operated umbrella capable of self-closing, including a center shaft of outer tube and inner tube, both of which are engaged with a spring pawl, a connector with an upper link and a lower within the shaft, and a handle with a button connected with the bottom of inner tube. While pushing the button, a slider of the umbrella will be released and to push the spring pawl inward to close and shorten automatically.

  • Patent number: 4825888
Abstract: A manual/automatic dual-purposed umbrella structure comprising a handle, a stationary tube, an inner tube, an outer tube and a top tube. The handle has two buttons which respectively control a pushing rod and a hook portion to fix or loosen the outer tube. The inner tube and the top tube are separately passed into the outer tube from the top and the bottom thereof. The top tube and the stationary tube each respectively comprises a hook hole used for hooking a hook rod installed on the outer tube. Two springs are respectively set on the inner tube and the top tube, the elastic forces thereof forcing the umbrella frame to be opened or closed.
