  • Publication number: 20130219852
Abstract: A device capable of correcting the relatively twisted positional relationship of mutually adjacent link frame bodies, and precisely place the link frame bodies at appropriate positions. A link side plate includes a rear side plate portion having first and second linear position holding surfaces respectively at rear and front sides thereof in a longitudinal direction. The first linear position holding surface has a convex shape formed with two faces whose attitudes are mutually different with respect to a lateral direction. The second linear position holding surface has a concave shape formed with two faces whose attitudes are mutually different with respect to the lateral direction.

  • Publication number: 20130225342
Abstract: A transmission chain is composed of pairs of outer plates and pairs of inner plates. The plates of each pair are in opposed, spaced relation to each other. The pairs of inner plates and the pairs of outer plates are disposed in alternating, overlapping, relationship along the length of the chain, with each pair of inner plates extending in a first direction into a space between one pair of outer plates, and in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, into a space between another pair of outer plates. Connecting pins connect the alternating pairs of plates in articulating relationship. Each of the connecting pins is press-fit into holes in a pair of inner plates and fits rotatably in holes in a pair of outer plates. A guide extends into a space between the outer plates, guiding the chain by engagement with inwardly facing surfaces of the outer plates.

  • Publication number: 20130212998
Abstract: A cable protection and guide device is capable of preventing noise and abrasion powder generated by a flexion outer circumferential connecting arm and avoiding disconnection of the arm. The device includes: a number of link frame bodies each having link side plates each having a front side plate portion connected longitudinally to a preceding link side plate to form a cable flexion inner circumferential side; a rear side plate portion connected longitudinally to a succeeding link side plate to form a cable flexion outer circumferential side; and, a flexible linkage portion interposed between the front and rear side plate portions. The link frame body also includes a flexion outer circumferential-side connecting arm whose flexion outer circumferential-side surface is provided so as to be closer to the cable flexion inner circumferential side than a flexion outer circumferential edge of the rear side plate portion.

  • Publication number: 20130210566
Abstract: In a transmission chain guide, a shoe made of synthetic resin and extending in a longitudinal direction, has a front face for sliding engagement with a transmission chain traveling in the longitudinal direction, and a back face. The guide also comprises a base made of synthetic resin and having a supporting face extending along the longitudinal direction and supporting the back face of the shoe. The shoe and the base are integrally fused together. An engaging portion of the base, integrally molded with the base, and an engaging portion of the shoe, integrally molded with the shoe, are engaged and fused with each other bidirectionally in the longitudinal direction.

  • Publication number: 20130203538
Abstract: In a transmission chain including alternately interleaved and articulably connected sets of link plates, the link plates of least one of the sets have back surfaces arranged for sliding contact with a chain guide. These back surfaces have a convex, substantially arc-shaped, curvature in the longitudinal direction of the chain, and a convex, substantially arc-shaped, curvature in the widthwise direction. The radius of curvature of the widthwise curve of the back surface of each of the link plates of the at least one set is at least as great as the radius of curvature of the curve of the same link plate in the longitudinal direction.

  • Publication number: 20130165285
Abstract: In a transmission chain, interleaved links are articulably connected by connecting pins, each connecting pin comprising two rocker pins arranged to roll on each other. Pin holes in each of at least two overlapping link plates in each interleaved pair of link plates are shaped so that each rocker pin moves with one of the overlapping link plates and is engageable with a bend-blocking surface in the pin hole in the other of the two overlapping link plates when the two overlapping link plates are in a straight part of the chain. The engagement of the rocker pins with the bend-blocking surfaces of the pin holes prevents the links from bending backward beyond their straight condition, i.e., in an outward direction, opposite to the inward direction in which the links bend relative to each other when engaging a sprocket.

  • Publication number: 20130109519
Abstract: A sprocket comprises a set of standard sprocket teeth, each having a first face width and capable of entry between the inner link plates of a transmission chain and engaging sprocket tooth-engaging driving elements of the chain while restricting side slip of the chain by contact with the inner link plates of the chain. The sprocket also comprises a set of narrow sprocket teeth also capable of engaging driving elements of the chain. Each of the narrow sprocket teeth is narrower than the standard sprocket teeth, and can engage driving elements without contacting the inner link plates of the chain. Contact resistance between the sprocket teeth and the chain is reduced and periodic sounds are reduced, while a stable running path of the chain is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20130109518
Abstract: In the check valve of a hydraulic tensioner, the cap wall of a check ball retainer has a stroke restricting surface that restricts movement of the check ball from a valve seat. The stroke restricting surface is a concave surface having a curved cross-sectional shape. The center of curvature of the curve is located on the side of the stroke restricting surface on which the ball seating surface of the check valve is located, and is either radially inward from the a point of abutment between the check ball and the stroke restricting surface or substantially on the center line of the valve seat.

  • Publication number: 20130090201
Abstract: A transmission guide comprises a synthetic resin shoe supported by and integrally molded with a synthetic resin base by two-part molding. A guide length retaining mechanism, which can be formed by one or more protrusions on the back of the shoe and one or more cooperating recesses on the supporting surface of the base, retains the shoe against longitudinal movement relative to the base. A guide width retaining mechanism, which can be formed by projections on the edges of the shoe and cooperating holes formed in side walls extending from the supporting surface of the base, retains the shoe against widthwise movement relative to the base.

  • Publication number: 20130075128
Abstract: A protective guide internally holds long members including at least one of flexible cable and duct to move in harmonization with the movement needed by the long members. The guide includes a flexible long plate-shaped base made of a synthetic resin and having a longitudinal direction, flexible sectioning members made of a synthetic resin, and two brackets. The sectioning members uprise from ends of the base, spaced apart from each other by gaps in the longitudinal direction, the ends facing in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and cooperatively define a space for accommodating the long members along the base. The brackets detachably connect ends of the base to fixed and movable members of a machine installing the guide. Each bracket has a first engaging means detachably engaging the bracket with the gaps and a second engaging means detachably connecting the bracket to the fixed or movable member.

The sectioning members are also made of a synthetic resin, permitted to uprise from both ends of the base and spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction, the both ends being opposed to each other in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The sectioning members cooperatively define a space for accommodating the long members along the base. The base has a cross section inwardly curved toward the space, as viewed in the longitudinal direction. Each sectioning member has a ceiling opposed to the base, the ceiling being divided into two portions in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
