Abstract: A platform scale provided with an enclosure for surrounding the sides of the platform scale, wherein: the platform scale comprises shock-absorbing members that extend outward at multiple places of the feet, which support the main body of the platform scale on a base; the enclosure is configured from only side walls that surround the sides of the platform scale; the height of the side walls placed on the base is set to be lower than the height of the upper surface of the weighing tray of the platform scale; and the side walls set on the base do not touch portions of the platform scale other than the shock-absorbing members.
