Abstract: A toner for developing an electrophotographic image and a method for forming an electrophotographic image using the toner. The toner comprises a binder and a colorant, in which a volume average diameter of the toner particles, Dv in .mu.m, and a storage modulus at 170.degree. C. thereof, G'.sub.170 in dyne/cm.sup.2, satisfy the following relation;-(2/15)Dv+3.5.ltoreq.log G'.sub.170 .ltoreq.-(3/15)Dv+5.5.In the method, an electrophotographic image is developed by the above-mentioned toner and fixed by a fixing roller covered with a surface layer comprising a fluorine-containing resin.

Abstract: A toner preparation process is disclosed. The process comprises a step of stirring the premixed colored resin particles and inorganic fine particles in the presence of mixing medium having a substantially spherical shape in the container, and a step of collecting toner particles comprised of the colored resin and inorganic particles thereon having a predetermined size by classifying at the stirring step.A continuous method for manufacturing a toner for an electrostatic imaging is provided. The resulting toner is low in electricity consumption, free from limitation on processing volume, and the method is capable of improving productivity and reducing manufacturing cost.
