Abstract: There is provided a demand control apparatus which is less attenuated in the wall and which can be installed even after the completion of construction of a new house. The present invention comprises a demand control unit for converting a restriction signal for restricting an electric current flowing to a circuit breaker so as not to exceed a target current value into a radio signal composed of a predetermined format and then transmitting the same, and a control unit for performing a modification in a way to reduce power consumption of the air conditioner when the restriction signal from the demand control unit is judged to be effective to coincide with the format.

Abstract: An air conditioner which has a controller equipped with heat-producing electrical parts and in which the driving current of a compressor, etc., is controlled by the controller, includes a temperature sensor which is provided to or in the vicinity of at least one heat-sensitive electrical part (for example, a power transistor) of the electrical parts and adapted to detect the temperature of a heat-sensitive electrical part, and means for stepwise or linearly reducing the upper-limit value of the driving current of the compressor in accordance with the increase of the detected temperature when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is higher than a predetermined value.

Abstract: An operation mode of an air condition is automatically set during an intermediate season so that the set operation mode can match the actual sensation of a user. A plurality of temperature zones are set defining a plurality of room-temperature ranges and a respective plurality of outside-temperature ranges, and operation modes are selectively assigned to each of the temperature zones. An operation mode is set according to the zone containing an actual room temperature and outside temperature. In addition, the temperature zones assignments are selectively changed according to a calendar date of operation.

Abstract: This invention aims to facilitate setting and modifications of characteristic data for microcomputers used for control of various types of air conditioner. A control device for the air conditioner comprises a microcomputer having a first ROM for storing a program for controlling operations of a compressor and a blower, a RAM for storing present data and various data associated with the operations and a CPU for executing the program. A second ROM is provided in the control device for storing specific data representing capacity of the components such as compressors and a blower, functions of the air conditioner, exclusive cooling or cooling/heating and so on.
