Patent number: 8056859Abstract: A rib of an airplane wing is prevented from deforming due to a machining load when machining a rivet hole in parts where the rib and a skin are joined. With regard to a rib that provides a connection between first and second spars of the airplane wing, the rib is formed with mounting flanges secured to a skin via a rivet, a stringer through hole for a stringer to be positioned through, and first and second cutouts facing parts where the first and second spars and the skin are connected. Since reinforcing beads are formed along the mounting flanges and reinforcing flanges are formed so as to extend in the span direction from the edges of the stringer through hole and the first and second cutouts and be connected integrally to the mounting flanges, the stiffness of the rib toward a load in the vertical direction when drilling a rivet hole can be enhanced.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2009Date of Patent: November 15, 2011Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takahiro Kunichi, Tsugio Saito, Ken Ohizumi, Hiroshi Kato

Publication number: 20110139572Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a steel plate-shaped component which can increase the yield and the working efficiency. When a steel plate-shaped component (1) such as a pole parking is manufactured, a steel disk-shaped initial material (10) is vertically placed in a cavity (41) of a dice (40) of a cold forging die so that the thickness direction of the initial material (10) is perpendicular to a pressing direction. The initial material (10) is pressed through cold forging against the peripheral side portion (11) by a punch (42) while the initial thickness of the initial material (10) is maintained substantially as it is, whereby an approximate component (20) approximating the plate-shaped component (1) is obtained. Subsequently, a margin portion (25) of the approximate component (20) is removed, whereby a half-finished product (30) is obtained.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2010Publication date: June 16, 2011Applicants: TOSHIMA MANUFACTURING CO., LTD., TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Hitoshi Nomasa, Hiroki Uba, Yoshinori Morita, Ryuji Ibaraki, Koichi Kondo, Masahiro Kojima, Fuminori Ashikawa, Tsugio Saito

Patent number: 7650773Abstract: In primary press forming process, a piece of blank sheet metal is draw worked so as to form a preformed work piece (Wb) provided with a bent portion (a) substantially conforming to a three dimensional contour of a leading edge of a blade to be protected and extending along a longitudinal direction, and a pair of planar portions (b and c) extending from either side of the bent portion. In a secondary press forming process, the planar portions (b and c) of the preformed work piece are stretch formed into a final shape that conforms to the corresponding profile of the blade while the bent portion (a) of the preformed work piece is clamped and protected from deformation.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2008Date of Patent: January 26, 2010Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Fumihiko Shikano, Keizo Matsumoto, Tsugio Saito

Patent number: 7121128Abstract: A method of manufacturing an elliptic deep-drawn product including a first step of providing an intermediate product and a second step of providing an end product. In the first step, a rotary forming die is used to form in a blank a substantially round formed portion of a U-shaped cross-section. In the second step, the formed portion is deformed at its semicircular portion by press working to form an elliptic portion, being formed into a final shape.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2004Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Kato, Tomio Sugiyama, Hirohide Azuma, Tsugio Saito

Patent number: 5690610Abstract: A sticking material for hemostasis has a flexible strip-shaped base member having a high recovery property, a main surface, and side edges extending in a first longitudinal direction. An adhesive layer is disposed on the main surface of the base member. A pad is disposed on the adhesive layer and extends in a second longitudinal direction substantially transverse to the first longitudinal direction such that a space is defined between the pad and each of the side edges of the base member. The pad is of a size sufficient to exert pressure at a puncture area including punctures of both a blood vessel and a skin surface. The pad has a slight elasticity and a hardness capable of securely exerting pressure on the punctures by a shrinking action of the base member when the base member is adhered to the skin surface while being stretched to secure the pad over the punctures.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1994Date of Patent: November 25, 1997Assignee: Nichiban Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toshio Ito, Takayuki Akutsu, Tsugio Saito, Takayoshi Numata, Fumio Tokumura, Katsumi Kusumi, Kunihiro Ohyama
