  • Patent number: 8758038
Abstract: An electrical connector with a locking mechanism includes a housing and a locking mechanism provided in the housing. The locking mechanism includes a first support portion extending from the housing, a lock main body supported by the first support portion in a swingable manner, an engagement tab capable of engaging with and disengaging from an engagement portion provided in a counterpart electrical connector according to swinging of the lock main body, and an operating portion arranged to be pressed in order to swing the lock main body. The operating portion includes a second support portion provided in the lock main body and an operating portion main body supported by the lock main body via the second support portion. A space for allowing the operating portion main body to bend is formed between the operating portion main body and the lock main body.

  • Patent number: 7255611
Abstract: A connector having a compact engagement structure providing a high retaining force is provided. A shoulder is provided on an inner wall of a housing for storing a contact. The shoulder is inclined so that a distal end thereof projects toward a first end of the housing with respect to a proximal end thereof. An engaging piece which engages the shoulder is provided on an engaging portion of a contact body. An inner edge of a distal end of the engaging piece is chamfered. The contact is inserted into a storage chamber of the housing from a second end of the housing, and the engaging piece smoothly lifts from the distal end of the shoulder to the proximal end. Accordingly, the contact is retained by the housing with a high retaining force.

  • Patent number: 7048570
Abstract: A lockable electric connector to be fitted and electrically connected to a socket provided on an outer face thereof with a rib extending in the insertion direction. The electric connector is provided with: a contact; a housing which has a fitting concave for receiving the socket, and which holds the contact such that a portion of the contact is exposed in the fitting concave; and a locking claw formed as projecting from the housing toward the upstream side in the socket insertion direction for holding the fitting state of the socket to the lockable electric connector. The locking claw has an engaging projection to be locked and engaged with an engaging portion of the socket, the engaging projection being formed at a position upstream with respect to the fitting concave in the socket insertion direction. The engaging projection has a guide groove for guiding the rib of the socket, the guide groove extending in the socket insertion direction.
