  • Patent number: 6811394
Abstract: The mold clamp apparatus comprises a toggle mechanism provided with a hollow pressure support body at the link tip. A movable platen is provided oppositely to a fixed platen and is supported by inserting therethrough a tie bar across a link reception platen of the toggle mechanism and the fixed platen of the toggle mechanism. A clamping rod enters and exits a pressure support body at the back center of the movable platen. A quick traverse mechanism of the movable platen is provided. A clamping linkage apparatus is arranged between the movable platen and the toggle mechanism by inserting the tie bar through the installation platen. A linkage plate having a tilting pin of the installation platen inserted therein is attached to the pressure support body together with a casing.

  • Patent number: 6592360
Abstract: A mold clamping apparatus of an injection molding machine is equipped with a drive mechanism for opening, closing, and clamping a mold. The drive mechanism includes a first drive mechanism portion including a first drive motor portion and a first ball-screw mechanism portion and advancing and retracting a movable platen in order to effect high-speed mold opening/closing operation; a second drive mechanism portion including a second drive motor portion and a second ball-screw mechanism portion and pressing a pressure platen in order to effect high-pressure mold clamping operation; and a clutch mechanism for connecting the pressure platen to the movable platen in a pressure applicable manner when the movable platen is located at a mold close position. The first drive mechanism portion advances and retracts the movable platen in order to effect high-speed mold opening/closing operation.

  • Patent number: 6322343
Abstract: There is provided a compact injection molding machine with casters. An injection unit and a mold clamping unit in the compact injection molding machine are disposed longitudinally on a base cabinet which is formed of a tall cabinet with a rectangular top surface. The molding machine can be manually moved and installed by mounting the casters on the bottom of the base cabinet. The inside of the base cabinet is partitioned with partition plates and receives units and devices required for the injection molding of resin. The injection unit and mold clamping unit may use any of oil pressure and electric power as their driving source. In the case of oil pressure, a hydraulic driving circuit and the like are received in the base cabinet, and in the case of electric power, electric servomotors and the like are received in the base cabinet.

  • Patent number: 5513777
Abstract: A material feeding apparatus including a material container as a hopper serves to feed a molding material sealably received in the material container to a molding machine via a heating sleeve. The material feeding apparatus includes as essential components a material container molded of a transparent synthetic resin or a translucent synthetic resin so as to enable a quantity of molding material remaining in the material container to be visually confirmed from the outside, and an adapter of which one end is formed in the shape of an open end part to be threadably fitted into an opening portion of the material container and of which the other end is formed in the shape of an open end part to be fitted onto a receiving member of the molding machine. To openably shut the interior of the material container, a shutter is slidably displaceably arranged in the adapter.
