Abstract: System for automatically distributing a received document in which a plurality of computers, each of which having at least one mail box, are connected to a facsimile apparatus via a network so that a document received through the facsimile apparatus is outputted to a specific mail box within the plurality of computers in accordance with protocol commands received together with the document.

Abstract: A data transmitting apparatus capable of performing highly efficient transmission of data in mixed mode. The data transmitting apparatus comprises an image data block detector for detecting a block composed of image data out of blocks forming a document stored in a picture image memory, and a vacant space detector for detecting a vacant space in excess of a predetermined size in the block detected by the image data block detector, the block being divided into two blocks which are formed by the vacant space and the remaining space, respectively, when the vacant space is detected by the vacant space detector. The data transmitting apparatus is advantageous of transmitting the entire document in a shorter period of time.

Abstract: A facsimile system includes an image memory for temporarily storing image data, where the system detects identification data of a counterpart station, the identification data being received together with image data from the counterpart station, stores the identification data of specific counterpart stations, searches the identification data detected from among the identification data stored in the identification data storage, detects a remaining memory capacity in the image memory, and judges whether storage of the image data in the image memory is permitted or prohibited based on a result of the searching and a result of the detection of the remaining memory capacity.

Abstract: A mixed mode communication apparatus is disclosed which is capable of adding to the body of a document to be transmitted to specific called stations information which is added at high frequency by a simple manner. A quick dial of a called station is registered in a quick dial memory section. The stereotyped expressions used for each called station is registered as quick block data in a quick block data memory section. A common block number is assigned to the quick block data and the quick dial in order to secure the association of the quick block data with the quick dial. In response to a quick dial number entered from a keyboard, a block search section searches the quick block data memory section on the basis of the block number attached to the quick dial, and reads intentional quick block data out of the memory section. The readout quick block data is loaded into a buffer.

Abstract: A facsimile system comprises: an image memory for storing received image data and image data to be transmitted; means for detecting a remaining memory capacity in the image memory; means for storing document data of each of the received image data and the image data to be transmitted; means for enciphering at least a part of image data stored in the image memory upon detection of an insufficient remaining memory capacity by the remaining memory capacity detection means; means for recording the enciphered image data on a recording sheet together with the document data thereof; means for reading the recorded enciphered image data; and means for deciphering the read enciphered image data.
