  • Publication number: 20050123264
Abstract: A stationary optical attenuator having a ferrule assembly 20 including a capillary 21 having an attenuation fiber 23 fixed along its center axis and a flange 22 having the capillary 21 inserted therein. The flange 22 has one or more slits 221 made in its tubular section 22c. These slits 221 extend longitudinally from one end 22a of the tubular section 22c, and the capillary 21 is fixed to the flange 22 by applying and filling the slits 221 with an adhesive 224.

  • Patent number: 5815618
Abstract: Disclosed optical fiber connector adaptor includes a guide cylinder to accommodate two ferrules each attached to an end of a different optical fiber, which are to be connected to each other with their optical axes aligned by inserting the ferrules in the guide cylinder from its opposite sides. The adaptor has outer and inner hollow bodies which are adapted to telescope within each other during assembly. Each hollow body has a cylindrical holder to surround and hold the guide cylinder allowing an optical fiber connector having a ferrule at its end to be press-fit in the outer hollow body until the ferrule is inserted in the guide cylinder. The inner hollow tube permits the press-fit of a ferrule, which is attached to the end of another optical fiber, into the guide cylinder on the open side of the inner hollow body.

  • Patent number: 4969840
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrical connector for a flexible flat cable comprising a connector housing having a plurality of terminals arranged therein and a connector cover removably mounted on the connector housing. The connector cover has a pressure blade which displaces each terminal thereby resiliently holding flat conductors on the cable between a contact portion of each terminal and the blade as well as electrically connecting the flat conductors and the contact portions of the terminal. The flexible flat cable is provided with a lock hole between the flat conductors thereon and a lock plate having a projection in a free end thereof mounted between the terminals. In addition, a support blade is mounted under the pressure blade of the connector cover. When the flexible flat cable is inserted and the connector cover is pushed into the connector housing, the lock hole of the cable becomes engaged with the projection of the lock plate.
