    Abstract: A color video signal demodulating apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a color subcarrier signal generator for generating a color subcarrier signal synchronously with a color burst, an abnormal burst detector for detecting an abnormal color burst included in a color video signal, such as a signal for the DVD, and a color subcarrier signal generation controller for controlling the color subcarrier signal generator such that no color subcarrier signal corresponding to the abnormal color burst is generated in response.
