  • Patent number: 4958521
Abstract: A cover tape is adhered to a receiving tape which is provided with a plurality of cavities distributed for receiving components, to close the openings of the cavities. In order to measure the force required for stripping the cover tape from the receiving tape, the cover tape is bent to be at a prescribed stripping angle from a longitudinal end thereof to be stripped from the receiving tape, and the cover tape and the receiving tape are moved to be separated at the same speed from each other along loci of linear movement respectively while retaining the stripping angle. Tensile force acting on the cover tape is measured during such movement, thereby determining the force required for stripping the cover tape.

  • Patent number: 4267480
Abstract: A piezoelectric resonator comprises a piezoelectric substrate, a common electrode layer applied on one major surface of the piezoelectric substrate, and at least one electrode layer applied on its second major surface. The piezoelectric substrate is held in position between two or more metallic terminal elements, with the electrode layers held in electrical contact with the terminal elements. The piezoelectric resonator further comprises at least one direction-oriented electroconductive sheet positioned between the electrode layer on the second major surface of the piezoelectric substrate and the associated terminal element. The direction-oriented electroconductive plastic sheet has substantial electroconductivity only across its thickness.

  • Patent number: 4077439
Abstract: A fixing device for shaping lead wires of a radial type electronic component which extend outwardly in a direction parallel to each other from the main body of the component into a shape similar to the wires of an axial type electronic component which extend outwardly in opposite directions from each other and for successively fixing the electronic components with the thus shaped lead wires onto tape-like holders for feeding the same into a known automatic inserting machine for use in making a printed circuit assembly.

  • Patent number: 4049118
Abstract: A holding device for holding a plurality of electrical and electronic parts or elements. The holding device of paper or similar resilient material includes a base of tape-like configuration and a plurality of holding portions formed in the longitudinal direction of the base. The holding portion further includes tongue portion formed by a slit which is cut in a direction normal to the longitudinal direction of the base to allow U-shaped lead wires of the electrical parts or elements to be inserted into the base through the slit and to be held in position by pressing the tongue portion into the space defined by the lead wire for efficient handling of such parts and elements as one unit on the base.
