  • Patent number: 6334763
Abstract: A capacity-controlled scroll-type compressor having an internally-bypassing system is provided, by which it is possible to prevent the tip gaps near the gas-suction inlet or the main stream of bypassing gas from becoming smaller than those of other portions. Regarding tip gaps near the gas-suction inlet, the length of teeth of a portion of the scrolls, which is closer to the gas-suction inlet, is shorter than teeth of other portions of the scrolls. Regarding tip gaps near the main stream of a bypassing gas, (i) the length of teeth of a portion of the scrolls, which is close to the main stream of a bypassing gas, is shorter than teeth of other portions, or (ii) a gas-suction inlet is positioned near the main stream of bypassing gas so as to suppress increase in the temperature of an area neighboring the main stream.

  • Patent number: 5599178
Abstract: There is provided a scroll-type compressor in which a scroll-type compressing mechanism comprising a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll, a motor, and a frame to which a main bearing is mounted to rotatably support a motor rotating shaft for driving the orbiting scroll are disposed in an enclosed housing composed of a plurality of housing members fastened by bolts, and the interior of the enclosed housing is divided into a high-pressure chamber and a low-pressure chamber by an end plate of the fixed scroll. The fixed scroll is fastened to the frame by making a plurality of holes passing through the frame in the frame, by inserting bolts into the holes from the side of the low-pressure chamber, and by screwing the bolts into the fixed scroll. Thereby, an adverse effect of thermal deformation or pressure deformation of the enclosed housing on a scroll-type compressing mechanism can be averted.

  • Patent number: 5542830
Abstract: In the scroll-type compressor of the present invention, the end surface of a flange provided in a protruding manner at the outer periphery of the outer end surface of a drive bush is sealingly slid on the inner end surface of a rotation shaft to form an enclosed space on the side of the drive bush, the rotation shaft is formed with a through hole one end of which is open to the central portion of the inner end surface of the rotation shaft and the other end of which is open to the outer peripheral surface of the rotation shaft, and a horizontal hole passing through the drive bush in the axial direction and communicating with the enclosed space is formed in the drive bush. When the rotation shaft is rotated, a pressure difference is generated between one end and the other end of the through hole by a centrifugal force.
