Abstract: A semiconductor die package includes a high dielectric constant (high-k) dielectric layer over a device region of a first semiconductor die that is bonded with a second semiconductor die in a wafer on wafer (WoW) configuration. A through silicon via (TSV) structure may be formed through the device region. The high-k dielectric layer has an intrinsic negative charge polarity that provides a coupling voltage to modify the electric potential in the device region. In particular, the electron carriers in high-k dielectric layer attracts hole charge carriers in device region, which suppresses trap-assist tunnels that result from surface defects formed during etching of the recess for the TSV structure. Accordingly, the high-k dielectric layer described herein reduces the likelihood of (and/or the magnitude of) current leakage in semiconductor devices that are included in the device region of the first semiconductor die.

Abstract: A data backup method for a flash memory module is provided. The flash memory module includes a plurality of flash memory units. In the data backup method, a controller is first provided to receive a backup function enabling signal. The controller then configures the flash memory units according to the backup function enabling signal such that at least one of the flash memory units is configured as a backup storage area and the flash memory units that are not in the backup storage area are configured as a main storage area. The controller then checks and receives an updated status of important data in the main storage area and backs up the important data into the backup storage area according to the updated status. Accessing to the backup storage area and accessing to the main storage area by the controller are independent.

Abstract: In order to correct errors of a first page on one plane in a two-plane NAND flash memory, use data of a second page on another plane to mix the encoding and leverage the error correction code of the first page. Each of the error correction codes of the first page and the second page is divided into an inner correction code and a cross correction code. The inner correction codes are used to correct errors of their own pages and the cross correction codes are used to correct errors of two distinct groups, grouped from the even and odd bytes of the two pages respectively. The second page, with fewer errors, is therefore used to enhance the correcting ability of the first page, without lengthening the error correction code of the first page.

The device includes a display unit, a storage unit, and a processing unit. The display unit includes a screen. The storage unit stores a digital image. The processing unit establishes a virtual plane including a display region corresponding to the screen of the display unit, projects the digital image on the virtual plane to form an image region, and decides a moving trace of the image region on the virtual plane. When the image region and the display region overlap, the processing unit calculates the overlap and displays a corresponding part of the digital image by reading from the storage unit on a corresponding part of the screen.

Abstract: An image transformation method is provided, converting an original image to a display image, the original image including a plurality of original lines each including a plurality of pixels. First, the plurality of original lines are selected through a line mask to obtain a plurality of selected lines. The plurality of pixels in the selected lines are selected through a pixel mask to generate a plurality of shortened lines corresponding to the selected lines. Thereafter, the shortened lines are grouped to generate the display image. An image transformation device and a digital recorder apparatus performing the image transformation are also provided.
