  • Patent number: 11934579
Abstract: An example system includes a strap, a display, a plurality of haptic devices, and a notification engine to cause activation of a haptic device in response to a virtual event that exceeds the view boundary. In an example, instructions may cause a processor to map a relative location of a virtual event to a corresponding location on a strap of an electronic device and cause activation of a haptic device at the corresponding location on the strap in response to a determination that the relative location of the virtual event exceeds a view boundary. In an example method for providing a virtual reality session, a virtual event is determined to correspond to an informational notification, a haptic device is identified to correspond to a location of the virtual event, and activation of the haptic device in an informational notification mode is synchronized with the virtual event.

  • Patent number: 11676357
Abstract: Structured light is projected onto an object, and an image of the object as illuminated by the projected structured light is captured. Reference object points are identified within the captured image, and the structured light projected onto the object is modified based on the identified reference object points. An additional image of the object as illuminated by the modified projected structured light is captured, and additional reference object points are identified within the captured additional image.

  • Publication number: 20170255254
Abstract: A virtual reality system is operable to communicate with an accessory device. The virtual reality system includes a host device and a tracker device. The tracker device can be removably mounted on the accessory device and communicated with the host device. The tracker device is configured to generate a first positioning data of the tracker device relative to a reference point in a spatial environment. The tracker device is further configured to transmit the first positioning data to the host device.
