  • Publication number: 20080252805
Abstract: An exemplary liquid crystal panel includes a display region, and a bonding region adjacent to the display region. The bonding region includes a plurality of conductive terminals, a plurality of conductive fingers respectively provided generally opposite to the conductive terminals, and a plurality of substantially straight conductive leads respectively interconnecting the conductive terminals and the conductive fingers. A distribution of the conductive terminals is nonuniform. A first plurality of the plurality of conductive fingers have different widths from a second plurality of the plurality of conductive fingers. The conductive leads are substantially parallel to each other. A liquid crystal display employing the liquid crystal panel is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20080055217
Abstract: A method for driving a liquid crystal display device (20) is provided. The liquid crystal display device comprising a plurality of scanning lines (201), a plurality of data lines (202), a scanning driving circuit (210) for providing scanning signals to the scanning lines, a data driving circuit (220) for providing data signals to the data lines, and a light emitting diode matrix (240) for emitting red, green and blue light beams. The method comprising: dividing a frame time into three sub-frame times (t1, t3, and t5) and three blanking periods (t2, t4, and t6), each of the blanking periods following a respective one of the three sub-frame times; during the three sub-frame times, the light emitting diode matrix emitting red, green, and blue light beams, respectively; during at least one of the three blanking periods, the light emitting diode matrix emitting red, green, and blue light beams simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20070285368
Abstract: An exemplary driving circuit (3) for a liquid crystal display (LCD) includes: an RGB (red green blue) signal interface (371) for receiving a plurality of RGB signals, a serial interface (372) for receiving a mode signal, a light emitting diode (LED) driving circuit (377), an LCD panel driver (376), a mode switch circuit (373) configured for receiving the RGB signals from the RGB signal interface, and a data transforming circuit (375). The mode switch circuit directly provides the received RGB signals to the LED driving circuit and the LCD panel driver when the LCD operates in a normal work mode. The data transforming circuit receives the RGB signals from the mode switch circuit, transforms the RGB signals to field sequential RGB signals, and provides the field sequential RGB signals to the LED driving circuit and the LCD panel driver when the LCD operates in a sequential work mode.

  • Publication number: 20070146353
Abstract: An exemplary image driving circuit (300) includes a differentiating circuit (326), a random access memory (RAM) (322) connected to the differentiating circuit, a decoder (323) connected to the RAM, and a digital/analog (D/A) converter (324) connected to the decoder. The differentiating circuit receives a still image signal or a moving image signal at any one time. The differentiating circuit is further configured for providing the still image signal through the RAM, the decoder, and the D/A converter to a display device, and for providing the moving image signal through the D/A converter to the display device. The RAM is configured for storing the still image signal. The decoder is configured for decoding the still image signal. The digital/analog (D/A) converter is configured for transforming the still image signal to a plurality of driving voltages and transforming the moving image signal to a plurality of driving voltages.
