  • Publication number: 20030035024
Abstract: A printhead cartridge mounts within a carriage of a printer. The carriage moves along a first direction within the printer. The printhead cartridge includes an inkwell for storing ink, which has a front surface and a bottom surface, a printhead mounted on the bottom surface, and a plurality of contacts for receiving signals from the printer and to provide the signals to the printhead. A centerline of the front surface, running perpendicular to the first direction, evenly defines first and second sides of the front surface. The contacts are disposed on the front surface, and a distribution of the contacts on the first side exceeds a corresponding distribution of the contacts on the second side.

  • Publication number: 20030035033
Abstract: A tape automated bonding (TAB) device for a printhead cartridge of a printer includes a tape having a region capable of being substantially bisected by a centerline that defines a first side of the tape and a second side of the tape. Located on the tape is a printhead, and a plurality of contacts adapted to receive signals from the printer and to provide the signals to the printhead. The contacts are disposed such that the number of contacts on the first side is different from the number of contacts on the second side. The printhead is centrally aligned with the centerline or centrally offset from the centerline.

  • Patent number: 6471338
Abstract: A microinjector head with a driving circuit and the manufacturing method of the microinjector head are shown. The microinjector head uses a bubble as a virtual valve to eject fluid. The microinjector head has a manifold, chambers, a pair of first and second bubble generators, orifices, and a driving circuit. The driving circuit is used to control the pair of first and second bubble generating devices and eject fluid inside the corresponding chamber from the corresponding orifice. In addition, because the driving circuit and the bubble generators are integrated on a single substrate, the number of manufacturing processes is reduced and the circuit devices and connecting circuits of the. microinjector array are fewer.

  • Publication number: 20020130911
Abstract: A piezo-resistive thermal detection apparatus for detecting the temperature of fluid inside a cavity device, such as the temperature of ink inside an inkjet print head. The apparatus includes a detection region and a plurality of piezo-resistive devices. The detection region is disposed on the inkjet print head in the form of a rectangle and made of a semiconductor material. The piezo-resistive devices are disposed on centers of each side of the detection region, wherein stresses produced by deformation of the piezo-resistive devices are exerted on the piezo-resistive devices. When the temperature of the ink rises, the surface of the inkjet print head is heated and expands, resulting in the deformation of the thermal detection apparatus. The piezo-resistive devices experience large amount of stresses due to the deformation of the thermal detection apparatus and thus the resistances of the piezo-resistive devices change.

  • Patent number: 5667906
Abstract: An improved storage battery on a mobile phone is comprised of a base housing, a cover housing, an electric circuit board, a set of lithium batteries and a viewing window, wherein after closing and assembling of the base and the cover housings, a receiving space is formed therein for receiving the electric circuit board and the lithium batteries. When the base housing is secured on the mobile phone, electric energy provided by the lithium batteries will afford operation of the mobile phone, and the lithium batteries can be charged. A user can see directly through the viewing window provided on either the base housing or the cover housing and made with an acrylic plate to inspect the lithium batteries to prevent them from being changed to common batteries.
