Abstract: A method of decoding video data, comprising: receiving, from bitstream, video data corresponding to a non-skip mode coded block; determining a parameter set associated with the non-skip mode coded block; if the parameter set satisfies a first condition, retrieving a first syntax element from the bitstream; if the parameter set satisfies a second condition, retrieving a second syntax element from the bitstream; if the parameter set satisfies a third condition, retrieving a third syntax element from the bitstream; decoding the video data corresponding to the non-skip mode coded block using palette mode when the first syntax element and the third syntax element have the first value; decoding the video data using intra prediction mode when the first syntax element has the first value and the third syntax element has a second value; and decoding the video data using inter prediction mode when the first syntax element has the second value.

Abstract: A method of decoding a syntax element for a current coding unit of video data is performed by an electronic apparatus. The electronic apparatus identifies, for the current coding unit, an above coding unit and a coding tree unit including the current coding unit. After determining that the above coding unit is within the coding tree unit, the electronic apparatus decodes, from a video bitstream, a corresponding syntax element for the current coding unit based, at least in part, on a syntax element associated with the above coding unit retrieved from a line buffer associated with the coding tree unit; otherwise, the electronic apparatus decodes, from the video bitstream, the corresponding syntax element for the current coding unit based, at least in part, on a default value assigned to the syntax element associated with the above coding unit.

Abstract: A voice communications system includes a first communications device and a second communications device. The first communications device uses data conforming to a predetermined protocol to perform voice communications. The second communications device uses data conforming to SIP to perform voice communications. The second communications device can convert data from conforming to SIP to the predetermined protocol and vice versa. Thus the second communications device is capable of communicating with the first communications device.

Abstract: A communication method and a communication system for the Internet phone are disclosed. Handsets can log in different instant messaging (IM) software, respectively, and a user can use the IM software logged in by each handset to enjoy the functions of the Internet phone via a logon library recording the corresponding relationships of the handsets and the IM software, so that the use flexibility and efficiency of the phone system are increased.

Abstract: A method for managing accounts of a web-phone includes storing a user data, storing a login data for accessing a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) system for performing web-phone communication, receiving a first data, comparing the first data and the user data, and accessing the VoIP system with the login data for immediately performing the web-phone communication when the first data conforms to the user data.

Abstract: A self-testing message displaying system suitable for a computer is provided. The computer has multiple hardware devices, and the basic input/output system performs a power on self-test sequence on the computer and outputs a self-testing code when one of the hardware devices is error. The self-testing message displaying system includes a mother board and a display device. The mother board having a memory is disposed in the computer, and the memory stores the device codes corresponding to the hardware devices. The display including an on screen display control device is electrically connected to the mother board and used to store the on screen display symbols corresponding to the codes of the hardware devices. The on screen display control device is capable of accessing the device codes corresponding to the self-testing codes from the memory, such that the display device displays the on screen display symbols corresponding to the device codes.

The functions of network phone service and remote controlling are combined to increase the versatility and convenience of a remote control.

Abstract: A Voice over Internet Protocol phone (VoIP phone) includes a VoIP module coupled to an external network, a receiving module for receiving data stored in a portable memory device, and a control means coupled to the VoIP module and the receiving module for controlling the VoIP module according to the data stored in the portable memory device received by the receiving module. The VoIP phone can be utilized in public places without risk of compromising the security of personal information.
