Abstract: A miniature motor includes a substrate having a pivotal portion. A coil unit and a detection element are provided around the pivotal portion. A rotor is rotatably mounted to the pivotal portion and includes a hub and a permanent magnet mounted to the hub and aligned with the coil unit and the detection element. The permanent magnet includes a plurality of north and south poles each having a stronger magnetism section. A weaker magnetism section is formed between two adjacent stronger magnetism sections. At least one auxiliary starting member is mounted between the substrate and the rotor and aligned with the permanent magnet. When the rotor stops rotating, the at least one auxiliary starting member aligns with and magnetically attracts at least one of the stronger magnetism sections, locating the detection element in a position not aligned with the weaker magnetism sections along an axis of the hub.
