  • Patent number: 8700128
Abstract: An apparatus and method for placing a device in a body area of a patient, by: tracking the device over a 3-dimensional model of the body area; activating the device at different locations in the body area; measuring the response signal or parameter caused by the activation; storing the locations as well as the response signals; choosing an optimal location for the device base in the stored response signals and navigating the device to the optimal location.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 3, 2005
Date of Patent: April 15, 2014
    Assignee: Paieon Inc.

  • Publication number: 20080262346
Abstract: An apparatus and method for the determination of the flow, the coronary reserve and relative coronary reserve of a specific coronary artery. The apparatus and method employ a three-dimensional model (50) providing the volume of a segment of the artery at a plurality of points in time, and disclose various options (56) for determining the arterial flow through the artery segment during one or more heart beat cycles or parts thereof. The determination of the coronary reserve (62) and relative coronary reserve (64) follow from the volume (54) and the flow through the artery. Alternatively, the coronary reserve is determined directly from a velocity profile relating to one or more fixed artery segments and the three-dimensional model.

  • Patent number: 7321677
Abstract: A method and system for imaging an artery contained in an arterial tree. A microprocessor generates a three-dimensional reconstruction of the arterial tree from two or more angiographic images obtained from different perspectives. The orientation of the axis of the artery in the arterial tree is then determined, and a perspective of the artery perpendicular to the axis of the artery is determined. A three dimensional reconstruction of the artery from angiographic images obtained from the determined perspective is then generated.

  • Publication number: 20060087929
Abstract: A system for optical scanning along one line with fast random access and high optical resolution, composed of: a plurality of first lenslets (240) constructed for use with a selected media format (224), the plurality of lenslets (240) all being disposed in a single row and being spaced apart by a given center-to-center distance; a movable mount carrying the plurality of lenslets (240), a linear motion actuator (241) coupled to the mount for moving the mount in a direction substantially parallel to the single row over a distance having a maximum value that is substantially equal to or slightly greater than the given center-to-center distance; at least one light source (260); a light directing unit (234) for directing light from the source to any one or two selected lenslets (240); and a control unit for controlling the light directing unit (234).
