  • Patent number: 4734672
Abstract: A variable resistor circuit module in which a printed substrate having sliding resistor patterns for variable resistor formed by printing a thick organic film and a copper foil printed substrate for mounting electronic parts are prepared separately and laminated with each other by means of insulating hot melt adhesives and electroconductive heat seal connector to thereby electrically connect the copper foil soldering lands with the sliding resistor patterns and the conductive collector patterns.

  • Patent number: 4698613
Abstract: A click mechanism of slide volume control ensures judgement of a center stop position of a lever by a difference in the click touches and allows many stop positions of the lever by providing holes on both sides of the lever inserting hole of the upper surface plate of the frame and providing convex portions on the ends of elastic arms of a plate spring which engage the holes.

  • Patent number: 4504818
Abstract: In a slide rheostat with first and second light sources wherein at least one set of resistor and collector is printed on an insulating base plate so as to establish a variable resistance, and wherein the first and second light sources are disposed so as to display the resistance in either of their emission colors, the light sources being connected to a common lead and at least one power supply lead so as to be energized; the improvement comprising the fact that the power supply lead is formed with a portion adopted to accommodate the sliders energizing both of the light sources so as to emit light in the composite color of their emission colors.

  • Patent number: 4426634
Abstract: A variable resistance device wherein a slide member is disposed slidably within an elongated case, resistance and collector elements are disposed on an insulating substrate, and a contactor attached to the slide member rides over the resistance and collector elements. A common conductor and a pair of staggered change-over conductor strips are also disposed parallel to each other on the substrate, and a pair of change-over contactors engage with the common conductor and one of the change-over conductors, respectively. A pair of polar light source means disposed within the operating means of the slide member are connected in parallel with opposite polarity, and connected in common to the change-over contactors. One of the change-over contactors engages alternately with one or the other of the change-over conductors in accordance with the linear movement of the slide member, thereby the light source means changes its light alternately.

  • Patent number: 4404540
Abstract: A slide rheostat wherein a movable insulating plate and a leaf spring which are centrally provided with holes for receiving a lever of a slide piece receiver are made unitary by mounting a flat portion of the leaf spring on the movable insulating plate by outsert molding, the unitary movable insulating plate and leaf spring have the lever inserted therethrough. Resilient protuberant pieces are disposed at the four corners of the flat portion of the leaf spring and held in resilient contact with the upper surface of the slide piece receiver, and the movable insulating plate is held in resilient contact with the upper rear surface of a case through the action of the leaf spring.

  • Patent number: 4357592
Abstract: A variable resistor and switch assembly in which a variable resistor and a switch are constructed as a unit. The assembly has an insulating substrate, a resistor, a collector and stationary contacts which are formed on the substrate, and a carrier made of an electrically insulating material. The carrier includes a slider for making sliding contact with the resistor and the collector, a pair of contactors made of a resilient metallic material and making sliding contact with respective one of the pair of stationary contacts, and an operation member made of an electrically insulating material and adapted for breaking the conduction between the pair of contactors. As the operation member is actuated at any desired position of the slider, the conduction between the pair of contactors is broken to make the switch take the off state irrespective of the resistance value of the variable resistor.

  • Patent number: 4172248
Abstract: Disclosed is a variable resistor of a simple construction having a driving mechanism, which can be assembled with ease and which allows contactors movable by an operation lever to be normally held in a predetermined position on a resistance element. The lever can be forcibly moved to vary the output of the resistor, and yet the lever will be returned automatically to its original position when the lever is released from the force exerted thereon.
