    Abstract: A power supply circuit including a first rectifying smoother for generating a DC output when connected to an AC power source. A standby power source that provides a plurality of DC outputs when supplied with the DC output from the first rectifying smoother. A second rectifying smoother converts the AC input into a DC output, which is converted by the main power source into a desired DC voltage. On the primary side of the main and standby power source, a relay controller, supplied with power by one of the DC outputs from the standby power source, responds to an actuation of a main switch. A relay switch connects the AC power source to the second rectifying smoother upon actuation of the relay controller. The standby power source also supplies power to the control means, which is disposed on the secondary side of the main and standby power source.

    Abstract: Television receiving apparatus for receiving television signals broadcasted over preselected broadcast channels by different television broadcast systems. Plural demodulators demodulate and concurrently display television programs broadcasted by different television broadcast systems. A processor selects a broadcast channel to be demodulated by at least one of the demodulators; and a detector detects if television signals are broadcasted over the selected channel. If so, the sound carrier frequency derived from the broadcasted television signal is determined and the television broadcast system is identified as a function of that carrier frequency. A memory stores an indication of the selected broadcast channel and the identify of the television broadcast system which uses that channel; whereafter the processor is advanced to select yet another channel and to identify the television broadcast system by which television signals are broadcasted over that other channel.

The method comprises the steps of covering an exterior surface of the heating chamber extending between the two openings with a guide plate and forming a guide plate having a substantially prism body and an open major side extending between longitudinal ends of the box. The guide box is provided with a substantially round opening in a major surface opposite to the major open side of the guide box for receiving a microwave antenna. The guide box is attached to the exterior surface of the heating chamber so as to enclose the two openings of the heating chamber with the open major side of the guide box facing the guide plate to form a waveguide having at least a pair of power feed ports.
