Abstract: Described herein are breeding methods useful to increase grain yield. Disclosed is a novel gene, SPIKE, which is shown herein to increase grain yield of modern indica cultivars and can be used to assist development of improved grains. Also described herein are materials and methods for increasing the grain yield of modern indica cultivars.

Abstract: A fixing structure includes a synthetic resin fixing part that is formed on a fixed member, a metallic collar adapted to be fixed in the portion to be fixed and having a bolt insertion hole and two engaging protrusions which are formed integrally with the fixing part so as to protrude into an interior of the bolt insertion hole. Then, when a bolt is inserted into the bolt insertion hole, the inserted bolt is then engaged with the engaging protrusions, whereby the fixed member is provisionally fixed to the bolt. In this state, a nut is fittingly screwed on a distal end portion of the bolt which protrudes from the bolt insertion hole.

Abstract: A clip-attaching structure is provided, which includes: an attachment body; a mating attachment body to which the attachment body is attached; and a clip provided, in accordance with an outer shape of the attachment body, with a baseplate, a first side plate extending from one side of the baseplate and having an engaging portion, and a second side plate extending from the other side of the baseplate, which clip fixing the attachment body to the mating attachment body, wherein an engagement portion to which the engaging portion engages is provided on the mating attachment body, and the attachment body is fixed to the mating attachment body by fixing the clip to the mating attachment body.

Abstract: An electric wiring block composed of a block main body and various cassette blocks. The block main body includes a plurality of cassette receiving chambers which are identical in shape with each other and into which the cassette blocks are received, and, on the respective inner peripheral walls of the cassette receiving chambers, securing ribs are respectively provided. Also, on the outer peripheral wall of the block main body, external securing ribs for option cassettes are provided, while the external securing ribs are identical in shape with the securing ribs. Further, on the outside portions of the cassette blocks, which are identical in shape with each other and are used in common with different kinds of electric parts, lock claws are provided for inserting the cassette blocks into the cassette receiving chambers, and option lock claws are provided for fixing the cassette blocks to the outside portion of the block main body.
