  • Patent number: 4908908
Abstract: A back door hinge mounting structure comprising a pair of bolts connected with to each other at the central portion thereof and threaded at the opposed ends thereof, one end of the opposed ends connected to the roof panel with the other of the opposed ends to the fixed leaf of the back door hinge and a hinge cap for covering the mounting bolts which can be mounted and removed only when the back door is open, so that access to the mounting bolts with the back door closed is avoided.

  • Patent number: 4871994
Abstract: To prevent an automatic transmission vehicle from creeping when the engine is started with the shift lever set to Neutral position, an alarm is produced when the shift lever is set to shift positions other than Park position and simultaneously the ignition key is removed from the ignition key cylinder or inserted into the ignition key cylinder at engine halt. Therefore, whenever the driver removes the ignition key from the ignition key cylinder or inserts the ignition key into the ignition key cylinder at engine halt, the driver is forced to securely set the shift lever to Park position on the alarm signal.

  • Patent number: 4729596
Abstract: An open-top type vehicle roof structure is composed of a frame structure having left and right roof openings separated by a longitudinal center beam, and left and right removable roof lids closing the left and right openings and concealing the center beam under the roof surface. Front and rear latch plates are fixed to the underside of each latch plate near the inner end. The center beam is provided with front and rear receiving members each of which is fixed on the top of center beam, and formed with left and right latch holes for receiving the latch plates of the left and right lids. Each of the latch plates may be formed with an upward flange for preventing an undesired release of the lid by engaging with one of downward flanges of one receiving member, or may be formed with a rectangular corner cut for receiving the projecting end of the opposite latch plate.

  • Patent number: 4729597
Abstract: A roof structure of a vehicle is composed of left and right removable roof lids, and a frame having front and rear portions, a longitudinal center beam connecting the front and rear portions, and left and right roof openings which are separated by the center beam between the front and rear portions, and closed by the left and right roof lids. Front and rear receiving members each having left and right latch holes are fixedly mounted on the center beam. Front and rear L-shaped latch plates are fixed to the underside of an inboard portion of each lid so that the front and rear latch plates are inserted in the latch holes of the front and rear receiving members, interlocking with each other, for securing the lid to the frame. Each of the receiving members further has a top wall which is formed with a stopper projection projecting upwardly.

  • Patent number: 4274027
Abstract: A rotor for electric rotating machines has a plurality of salient poles arranged in spaced relation in axial direction on the outer periphery of the rotor rim. Adjacent salient poles have opposed slots in the axial direction, into which a shielding member is fitted to bridge between said adjacent poles. The shielding member includes a plurality of rod members fitted over the entire length of said slots to extend across said opposed slots. While the rotor is running, the centrifugal force acts on each of said rod members thereby pressing the rod members against the outer periphery side wall of the slot. As a result, the centrifugal force is dispersed substantially uniformly over the entire length of the slot wall.

  • Patent number: 4169235
Abstract: This invention concerns a rotary electric machine, for example, a synchronous machine having salient rotary magnetic poles, which is equipped with a built-up type rotor. The built-up type rotor consists of a plurality of rotary members, which are coupled in the axial direction into an integral form.In such a built-up type rotor, the rotary members are sometimes displaced with respect to one another in the radial direction by centrifugal forces to which they are subjected during operation (rotation). As a result, the rotational balance of the rotor is lost, which tends to cause oscillations. Therefore, by skillfully exploiting the centrifugal forces which the rotary members undergo during operation (rotation), the radial displacements of the rotary members to one another are suppressed, thereby also serving to suppress the generation of oscillations.
