    Abstract: An elastic member according to an embodiment is an elastic member that biases a ferrule retaining a plurality of optical fibers in a connecting direction. The elastic member is stored in an inner housing that accommodates the ferrule, the elastic member has a space in its inside into which a 16-fiber tape fiber is inserted, and the elastic member is in a noncircular shape in a cross section intersecting with the connecting direction. The elastic member includes a pair of first portions having an outer surface opposite to a pair of inner surfaces in an arc shape of the housing, the inner surfaces being opposite to each other along a first direction intersecting with the connecting direction and a pair of second portions opposite to the tape fiber along a second direction intersecting with both of the connecting direction and the first direction.

As the second outer housing 5 moves backward, the engaging holes of the inner housing 3 are exposed. The second outer housing 5 has cutout parts 5c which are cut out from a back end surface 5f in the forward direction and which a front end part of the boot 6 enters.

    Abstract: An optical connector ferrule comprising a first end, a second end, and an outer surface extending between the first and second ends is disclosed. The optical connector ferrule comprises an opening; an introducing hole which extends from the opening to the first end; optical fiber holes which pass through from a tip portion of the introducing hole to the first end; and a window which opens to the outer surface and is connected to the introducing hole, and into which an adhesive is injected. A first opening of the window closer to the outer surface is larger than a second opening of the window closer to the introducing hole. An inner wall of the window includes a first surface provided in the peripheral direction of the inner wall, and the first surface is positioned closer to the introducing hole with respect to the outer surface, and faces the outer surface.
