  • Patent number: 9218786
Abstract: A change in the white balance caused due to the temperature is reduced in an image display device using MEMS and a laser light source. An image processing unit of the device superposes a signal based on a first measured value of a light quantity at a first temperature on a image signal to be supplied to the laser light source. An amplification factor of the light source drive unit is changed so that a second measured value at a second temperature comes close to the first measured value at the first temperature as a target value based on the second measured value at which the light quantity of light generated at the laser light source is measured at the second temperature different from the first temperature on the signal based on the first measured value.

  • Publication number: 20130242265
Abstract: In an optical module that aligns light beams from lasers of the three colors of red, green, and blue along a single combined beam optical axis, when the ambient temperature range is wider than the guaranteed operating range of the lasers, relative positional displacements of beam spots of the three colors that are generated due to a displacement or a deformation resulting from a temperature range at a heating time or a cooling time are suppressed. The optical module, which has mounted thereon a plurality of lasers, and emits light beams from the plurality of lasers, includes a cooling device that cools the entire optical module via a case on which the optical module is mounted, and heating devices that are provided on respective laser holders and individually heat the respective lasers.

  • Patent number: 6923580
Abstract: An optical transmission module includes a housing with a heat radiating fin and a receptacle for being connected to an external optical fiber. The module also includes a coaxial can stem for mounting an optical element and a ceramic printed circuit board. The signal transmission lines are provided on one side of the board, and heat from the coaxial can package is radiated from the radiating fin.

  • Publication number: 20040042740
Abstract: This optical transmission module wires and connects a coaxial can package in which high-speed signal transmission wiring whose characteristic impedance matches is formed on a ceramic PC board into which a coaxial can stem penetrates and a PC board on which a peripheral circuit is mounted using a flexible PC board in which the high-speed signal transmission wiring is formed in the same manner. The module makes, on the opposite side, an elastic conductive heat-conducting material is interposed between the coaxial can package and a housing in which a radiating fin is formed and the conductive heat-conducting material or an elastic insulating heat-conducting material between a circuit component mounted on a PC board and the housing in which the radiating fin is formed intervene. The module forms a fitting structure in each of a ferule and a receptacle portion of a transmission module or receiving module and can rotate to the direction of an optical axis.
