  • Patent number: 7822613
Abstract: In a vehicle-mounted control apparatus, a control unit 2 displays guidance on an operation of the vehicle-mounted control apparatus by voice input on a display device 6, and makes the user get training so that the user can master the techniques for operating the vehicle-mounted control apparatus (in step ST4). At this time, by using a voice which the user tries to input in order to master the techniques for operating the vehicle-mounted control apparatus, the voice recognition unit 5 learns the features of the user's voice in the background, and computes recognition parameters. Thereby, the user can know how to operate the vehicle-mounted control apparatus and can also register the features of the voice in the vehicle-mounted control apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20070139371
Abstract: A system differentiates user controls by arranging a conductive surface in a close approximation to each control. A transmitter is connected to the conductive surfaces. The transmitter emits a unique signal to each conductive surface. Electrodes are arranged in close proximity to users of the controls, and a receiver is connected to each corresponding electrode. A particular user is associated with a particular control when the particular user is capacitively coupled to a particular conductive surface via the electrode, the receiver and the transmitter. Images are displayed to the users using display devices. The display devices present concurrently multiple images to multiple users. The controls may include virtual controls displayed as icons on a touch-sensitive surface displaying the images.

  • Patent number: 6427939
Abstract: An anti-crimping roll is fixed to a vehicle moving in a direction perpendicular to the moving trace of a piston by way of a cylinder extending/shrinking the piston in a linear direction, and they are disposed at a position capable of moving along a longitudinal direction of a steel sheet within a plane in which the anti-crimping roll is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of a tension reel. A control device calculates an aimed winding angle of the steel sheet to the anti-crimping roll capable of avoiding occurrence of crimps based on a thickness and a width of the steel sheet, and drives the cylinder and the vehicle such that the calculated angle is aligned with an actual wind-up angle calculated from the stroke amount of the piston, moving amount of the vehicle to adjust the position of the anti-crimping roll.

  • Patent number: 6131432
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a metal foil by effecting rolling with a high efficiency without making any defectively shaped product. A metal foil having a thickness of 0.2 mm or less is manufactured after a plurality of passes of cold rolling by using soft work rolls from the first pass to the pass preceding the kissing pass during which the kissing of rolls is likely to occur, using hard work rolls for carrying out the kissing pass with a reduction in thickness of over 30%, and using soft work rolls for carrying out the last, or the last two passes with a reduction of 20% or less. Judgment is made again as to the likelihood of any roll kissing when hard rolls are used, and the pressure to be applied for the kissing pass is controlled in accordance with the result of such judgment.
