  • Patent number: 6478078
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger for cooling a circulating water of a fuel cell. This heat exchanger includes (1) an aluminum member having an inner surface which defines an inner space in the aluminum member such that the circulating water is allowed to flow through the inner space; and (2) a resin coating layer formed on the inner surface of the aluminum member. It becomes possible to prevent contamination of the circulating water by the provision of the resin coating layer. The heat exchanger can be produced by a first process including (a) providing a core portion having tubes made of aluminum and corrugated fins, which are alternately arranged; (b) assembling the core portion and a tank made of aluminum into an assembly; (c) brazing the assembly by heating into a brazed assembly; and (d) coating the inner surface of the brazed assembly with a resin coating layer.

  • Patent number: 6375269
Abstract: A seat having a seating face made of sheet resilient material is assembled from a seat frame comprising a substantially quadrilateral frame body, the sheet resilient material forming the seating face, a pad member forming a largely rising bank, and a skin material enclosing the pad member, wherein the sheet resilient material is stretched within a frame body of the seat frame, one end of the skin material is abutted against and fixed on the frame body of the seat frame, the pad member is assembled outside the seat frame, the skin material covers outside of the pad member from the one end which is abutted against and fixed on the frame body of the seat frame, and the other end is wound and stopped around a back of the seat frame, a bank which rises larger than the surface position of the seating face made of the sheet resilient material which is stretched within the frame of the seat frame is formed, and the bank is assembled as a strong bank with a simple structure, and the pad member prevents the seat frame

  • Patent number: 6231125
Abstract: A seat is provided which comprises a generally quadrilateral seat frame and a seat cushion formed from a resilient sheet and provided bridging between lateral sides of, and inside, the seat frame. A cushion member is provided opposite to the resilient sheet and bridging between lateral sides of, and inside, the seat frame. The cushion member is deflectable, under the weight of a sitting person, along with the resilient sheet which mainly receives the weight of the sitting person on the seat.

  • Patent number: 6152534
Abstract: A trim cover 5 capable of vending and deforming together with the sheet resilient material by pressure of a body of a sitting passenger is stretched within the frame of the frame body such as to face a front surface side of the sheet resilient material 2. With this structure, it is possible to suppress the air from an air conditioner in a vehicle from directly flowing from the seating face to a sitting passenger, thereby preventing the excessive effect of the air conditioner in the vehicle. Further, the design of the entire seat can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5573104
Abstract: A belt feeding device including a plurality of belt feeding rolls, a belt wrapped around the rolls, and at least a pair of guide members each having an edge guide surface against which either side edge of the belt abuts in crosswise movement of the belt. The outer circumferential surface of each roll is formed with a plurality of ring-shaped slits axially spaced a distance w from each other, each of the slits having a depth h and a width m. The values of h, m, and w are set so that a load to an axial displacement of the belt wrapped around the rolls at a position of each guide member becomes 80 N/mm or less. Accordingly, an edge force acting between either side edge of the belt and the corresponding guide member against which the side edge of the belt abuts can be reduced to 15N or less.

  • Patent number: 5240160
Abstract: A rotary splitting tool for splitting a web of plastic material to fabricate a fibrillated web, comprising a rotatable body having a plurality of transverse ridges provided on the periphery in a circumferentially equidistant relationship and extending generally parallel to the central rotation axis, and rows of cutting edges provided on the transverse ridges, respectively. Convex walls are provided on the periphery of the body between the adjacent transverse ridges. The convex wall means receives a web to be split so that oscillation of the web during repeated operations of the cutting edges can be minimized to reduce noise and prevent irregular slits.

  • Patent number: 5226926
Abstract: A waste plastic material, e.g. hard plastic waste constituted of vinyl chloride, polyethylene, and foamed polystyrene, soft plastic waste, or other plastic waste containing metal fragments, is immersed in a vegetable or mineral oil heated to 110.degree. to 180.degree. C. for melting in to a saturation of the plastic waste, the proportion of the plastic waste added to the oil being sufficient to saturate the oil. The melted plastic material, in which quantities of the oil are entrapped is mixed with a given dose of a neutralizing agent, e.g. calcium hydroxide, at a temperature of 220.degree. to 300.degree. C. Then, the resultant mixture, in which a quantity of the oil is entrapped is shaped into a solid fuel product, or into a predetermined form disposable in a landfill.

  • Patent number: 4829495
Abstract: A pendulum rod is mounted so as to be able to swing within a desired or a normal swing angle. The means mounting the pendulum rod include means for restricting movement of the pendulum rod along the swinging axis relative to the support body when the pendulum rod is within this desired swinging angle to prevent the detachment thereof and for enabling free movement of the pendulum rod along the swinging axis when the pendulum exceeds the desired swinging angle to permit detachment thereof. The mounting means also include means for restricting upward movement of the pendulum along longitudinal axis and relative to the support body to prevent detachment thereof.
