  • Patent number: 9463537
Abstract: For positioning a workpiece when a pin is to be press-fit, via a press-fitting device, into a pin hole formed in advance radially through the thickness of a cylindrical section of the workpiece, a workpiece positioning apparatus includes: a center axially movable toward the workpiece in such a manner that a distal end section of the center is introduced into the cylindrical section of the workpiece; and a projecting member accommodated in the center. With the distal end section of the center introduced in the cylindrical section of the workpiece, the projecting member projects through a through-hole of the center into engagement with the pin hole, and the projecting member is retracted from the pin hole when the pin is to be press-fitted into the pin hole.
