  • Publication number: 20030034863
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay apparatus, which is improved in miniaturization, performance, assembly accuracy, cost reduction, productivity, and reliability. A plurality of electromagnetic relays, each having an NO contact that is closed by applying exciting current to a coil and an NC contact that is closed when the excitation current is not passed through the coil, are arranged in line, one diagonally opposite to the next, on a base so that the respective NO/NC contacts of adjacent electromagnetic relays are located in diagonally opposed positions in substantially point symmetrical relation. The electromagnetic relay includes an electromagnetic block having a couple of moving contacts, a first stationary contact and a second stationary contact both being connectable to external wiring, which are composed of uniform parts or components.

  • Patent number: 6359537
Abstract: A electromagnetic relay includes a spool, a coil, a U-shaped yoke, an armature, a movable contact, a pair of stationary contacts, and a taper. The spool has an inner hole and first and second flange portions formed at its two ends. The coil is wound on the spool. The yoke is locked at the flange portions of the spool by press fitting to stride over the coil. The armature is movably connected to one end of the yoke and positioned to extend through the inner hole of the spool. The movable contact is attached to move in an interlocked manner with the armature. The pair of stationary contacts are arranged to sandwich the movable contact. The taper is formed on at least one of press-fit locking surfaces of one end of the yoke and the first flange portion, and has a locking force that increases as being closer to a vicinity of the inner hole of the spool. A method of adjusting an electromagnetic relay, and a method of assembling an electromagnetic relay are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5361615
Abstract: An apparatus used for measuring a holding force expected to be applied to a pressure member of a press, before the lower and upper dies and the pressure member are installed on the press. The apparatus includes a measuring member to be placed on cushion pins of the press associated with a fluid-actuated cylinder via a cushion pad. A sensing element is disposed on the measuring member or a main slide carrying the upper die, such that the holding force produced by force applying means which includes the cylinder acts on the sensing element, when the measuring member is lowered with the sensing element by the main slide in its downward movement towards a bolster on which the lower due is fixed. A load detecting device is disposed on the sensing element for detecting the holding force acting on the latter. The apparatus also includes a device for recording the holding force as detected by the load detecting device.

  • Patent number: 5299444
Abstract: A hydraulic cushioning apparatus for a press having an upper and a lower die assembly (3, 9) for forming a sheet-like workpiece (6), including hydraulic cylinders (54) incorporated in one of the upper and lower die assemblies, and pressure pins (52) linked with the respective hydraulic cylinders. The pressure pins are reciprocable to apply a cushioning force (F) to the workpiece, in a pressing action of said die assemblies on the workpiece, so as to force the workpiece against the other die assembly. The apparatus is equipped with a hydraulic power supply device (72, 100, 117, 272) for delivering a pressurized fluid to the hydraulic cylinders (54). The power supply device is capable of changing an initial hydraulic pressure (P.sub.0) of the fluid to be applied to the hydraulic cylinders before the pressing action of said die assemblies.

  • Patent number: 5295383
Abstract: A hydraulic cushioning apparatus for a press, having work-supporting pressure pins, hydraulic cylinders linked with the pressure pins, and a fluid passage connecting a hydraulic power supply to the hydraulic cylinders, to apply a preset hydraulic pressure to the cylinders. The apparatus includes a shut-off valve disposed in the fluid passage for connection and disconnection of the hydraulic power supply to and from the hydraulic cylinders, and a controller for controlling the shut-off valve such that the shut-off valve is closed before a movable die of the press comes into pressing contact with the workpiece, and is held in the closed position for at least a period which expires when the fluid in the hydraulic cylinders rises to the preset pressure level.

  • Patent number: 4734713
Abstract: A thermal printer is provided wherein data inputted from a data reader, such as a pen scanner, is compared with previously stored data. In the event that a match occurs, the printer prints predetermined information such as a sorting code on a thermal print medium. The thermal printer has a data input, data memory, program memory and an I/O port for communication with external devices. A controller controls the various components and directs the printer to print when the match occurs. Should a match not occur, the non-matching data is stored in data memory. The print medium such as a label or the like, may then be affixed to the same article or merchandise from which the data reader initially read the data.
