Patent number: 5065884Abstract: A lid opener comprises a frame having a first axis and a second axis which extend substantially in parallel. A first member is integrally moveable with the lid for rotation about the first axis. A second member is in engagement with the first member and rotatable about the second axis. Means are provided for driving the second member for rotation in such a predetermined direction as to move the first member in such a direction as to open the lid, and are constructed and arranged as to allow movement of the first and second members during closing movement of the lid.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 1989Date of Patent: November 19, 1991Assignees: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Nifco Inc.Inventors: Hiromi Naritomi, Tsutomu Oshida

Patent number: 5044526Abstract: A reservoir in which fuel can be collected when only a small amount of fuel remains in the fuel tank, is arranged to support a fuel pump and to be connectable to the lower wall of the tank by a snap action type connector arrangement which is defined between a bracket fixed to the lower wall of the fuel tank and a portion of the reservoir which cooperates with the bracket. The reservoir containing the pump can be manually introduced into the interior of the fuel tank through an opening in the top thereof and maneuvered into engagement with the bracket. The center of gravity of the relatively heavy pump is arranged to be generally over the top of the bracket. When a predetermined strong force is applied to the reservoir in a predetermined manner it can disengage from the bracket.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 1989Date of Patent: September 3, 1991Assignees: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., NIFCO Inc.Inventors: Michiaki Sasaki, Katsunori Ozaki, Tsutomu Oshida, Shigeru Kimura, Takashi Umezawa, Kazuyuki Tomioka

Patent number: 5004306Abstract: A drawer device includes a staionary case, a guide piece provided within the stationary case and rotatably supporting a plurality of balls along opposite side wall portions thereof in a sliding direction, a slide piece disposed within the guide piece and in contact with the balls, a movable case having a bottom surface to which the slide piece is fixed, and a spring provided between the stationary case and the movable case. When the movable case is accommodated within the stationary case, and latched at such state by means of a latching device defined between the movable case and the stationary case, the spring is tensioned so as to tend to bias the movable case in an ejection direction.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1989Date of Patent: April 2, 1991Assignee: Nifco, Inc.Inventor: Tsutomu Oshida

Patent number: 4856625Abstract: A cylinder type damper device for damping the opening and closing movement of a storage box includes a cylinder member enclosing air therein, an end cap with a filter therein and a rod reciprocally movably inserted into the cylinder member and provided at its front end with a piston for dividing the interior of the cylinder member into a head chamber and a rod chamber. The rod is moved in association with an opening or closing movement of the storage box. The piston has an orifice formed throughout its entire length in the axial direction thereof and being for interchanging air in the head and rod chambers by the axial movement thereof and also has air holes formed likewise throughout its entire length in the axial direction thereof and provided with a check valve for blocking the interchanging of air between the head and rod chambers in accordance with one directional movement in the axial direction of the piston.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 1988Date of Patent: August 15, 1989Assignee: Nifco Inc.Inventor: Tsutomu Oshida

Patent number: 4840523Abstract: A securing device includes an outer cylinder having a hollow cylindrical portion with a flange provided at one end, and an insertion member having a rod-like portion to be inserted into the outer cylinder. The hollow cylindrical portion of the outer cylinder has a plurality of slits open at the other end, an inwardly projecting portion provided at the other end, and a plurality of engagement ribs projecting outwardly from the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion. A rod-like portion of the insertion member has a head portion provided at one end, an intermediate large diameter portion having an outer diameter which is greater than the inner diameter of the inwardly projecting portion of the outer cylinder, and a small diameter portion having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the inwardly projecting portion of the outer cylinder. The small diameter portion is provided upon the side of the large diameter portion which is located nearer the head portion of the insertion member.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1988Date of Patent: June 20, 1989Assignee: Nifco, Inc.Inventor: Tsutomu Oshida

Patent number: 4614004Abstract: An oil type damper for braking and absorbing the opening-closing motion of a lid in a cassette tape recorder, video recorder or the like is improved by incorporating therein a flexible membrane formed in a structure symmetrical with respect to the obverse and reverse sides thereof, interposed between a housing and a braking disk, and adapted to absorb thermal expansion of oil and produce a sealing effect and, at the same time, causing the shaft projected from the braking disk for supporting the flexible membrane in place to contain a flared base radially diverged downwardly. Since the flexible membrane has a structure symmetrical with respect to the obverse and reverse sides thereof, the possibility of incorrect assembly of the oil type damper is minimized and the operational efficiency of damper production is increased without sacrificing sealing effect.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1984Date of Patent: September 30, 1986Assignee: Nifco Inc.Inventor: Tsutomu Oshida

Patent number: 4527675Abstract: An oil type damper comprises a housing, a rotator formed of a hollow shaft and a braking disk, a flexible membrane, a toothed wheel secured to the leading end of the aforementioned hollow shaft, and oil introduced via the hollow shaft into the housing. Since the oil is introduced through the hollow shaft into the housing after the rotator and the flexible membrane have been set in place inside the housing, the work of filling the damper with oil is easy. The flexible membrane absorbs thermal expansion of the oil and precludes otherwise possible oil leakage.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 1984Date of Patent: July 9, 1985Assignee: Nifco Inc.Inventors: Nobuaki Omata, Tsutomu Oshida
