Abstract: This invention provides a safe and highly stable peritoneal dialysate, which causes neither peritoneal membrane disorders nor peritoneal sclerosis associated with frequently repeated peritoneal dialysis treatment, which can protect residual renal functions in chronic renal failure, which inhibits the progress of renal damage over a long period of time, and which enables peritoneal dialysis treatment of diabetic patients. This peritoneal dialysate contains 0.05 to 3.5 w/v % of taurine and 0.1 to 6.5 w/v % of trehalose as osmotic agents and has a pH value adjusted between 6.5-7.5.

Abstract: [Purpose] It is an objective of the present invention to provide a stable neutral peritoneal dialysate that contains a substance other than glucose to serve as an osmotic agent. [Means to solve the problem] The peritoneal dialysate of the present invention is stable and can be provided in the form of a single solution in one-compartment containers.

The hydrophilic solvent-extract of mushroom according to the present invention possesses an effect of markedly improving and maintaining the renal functions of undialyzed patients suffering from renal disease. Therefore, the extract permits the substantial elimination or retardation of the initiation of any dialytic therapy, which has conventionally been inevitable for the end-stage renal disease patients.

Abstract: Drug which contains human growth hormones capable of recovering the renal function when administered to a patient who has renal insufficiency but has not yet undergone kidney dialysis. By administrating the drug, the loss of renal function represented by an extreme decrease in creatinine clearance or the reciprocal of blood creatinine level can be prevented and thus it can dispense with the dialytic treatment for patients with renal insufficiency.
