  • Publication number: 20170302384
Abstract: A first transmission apparatus includes a first transmitter and a first receiver. The first transmission apparatus transmits a first optical signal to a second transmission apparatus, which is generated by modulating first light output by a first light source. The first receiver coherently receives a second optical signal transmitted by a second transmission apparatus using the first light output by the first light source. The second transmission apparatus includes a second transmitter, a second receiver, and a controller. The second transmitter transmits the second optical signal to the first transmission apparatus, which is generated by modulating second light output by a second light source. The second receiver coherently receives the first optical signal transmitted by the first transmission apparatus using the second light output by the second light source. The controller controls a wavelength of the second light to be output by the second light source.

  • Patent number: 8200090
Abstract: An aspect of the embodiments utilizes an optical transmission apparatus which includes a rough adjustment execution portion that monitors a bit error rate of an optical signal for set values of a dispersion compensator where the set values have been set less closely to each other within a dispersion compensation control range than when a wavelength dispersion value set in the dispersion compensator is determined, and carries out a rough adjustment to determine a comparison threshold value used to set the wavelength dispersion value based on the monitored bit error rate, and a fine adjustment execution portion that monitors the bit error rate for the dispersion compensator the set values have been set more closely to each other, and carries out an adjustment to determine a wavelength dispersion value corresponding to the midpoint between the two acquired bit error rates as the wavelength dispersion value of the dispersion compensator.

  • Patent number: 8102945
Abstract: The present invention relates to a signal processing device and a signal processing method that are capable of processing various types of signals. The signal processing device comprises a frequency detecting unit detecting a frequency of a data signal by checking synchronization between the data signal and a reference signal, an oscillation unit supplying the reference signal to the frequency detecting unit, a frame detecting unit detecting a frame organizing the data signal, and a control unit changing a frequency of the reference signal supplied by the oscillation unit to take frequency synchronization between the data signal and the reference signal in checking the synchronization by the frequency detecting unit, and setting information of the frequency, of which the frequency synchronization has been taken, in the frame detecting unit.
