    Abstract: A keyboard device for a keyboard instrument, capable of causing a cushion to properly function while suppressing generation of noise when a hammer contacts the cushion. The hammer is vertically pivotally moved in a manner interlocked with key depression. The cushion is provided below the hammer. In a key-released state, a contact portion of the hammer is placed on the cushion, and when the hammer pivotally moved upward by key depression returns to its original position by key release, the contact portion contacts the cushion from above.
