  • Publication number: 20240052770
Abstract: Provided is a thermostat device in which the direction of a radiator-side pipe can be easily changed and which can suppress cost. A housing includes a first housing member having a radiator-side pipe and a second housing member that is rotation-fastened to the first housing member by a bayonet structure. The bayonet structure has a plurality of claw parts that are formed side by side in a circumferential direction on one of the first and second housing members and a plurality of locking parts that are formed on the other of the first housing member and the second housing member and with which the claw parts engage. The radiator-side pipe, when seen from one side of a rotational axis X during the fastening of the first and second housing member, is inclined with respect to the rotational axis X.

  • Publication number: 20240026810
Abstract: Provided are a heater member for a thermostat and a manufacturing method therefor which enables the formation of a short lead wire and insert-molding of a connector together with a heater while preventing the heater from being damaged during manufacturing. The heater member includes a bar-like heater arranged in a piston provided for a thermostat device; a lead wire pulled out from the heater; a terminal pin connected to one end of the lead wire; and a connector portion having a back end surface of the heater, the lead wire, and the terminal pin arranged inside thereof. The back end surface of the heater is arranged in a hollow portion formed in the connector portion without being in contact with resin forming the connector portion.

  • Publication number: 20240018893
Abstract: This thermostat device is provided with a housing, a thermo element that moves in an axial direction in accordance with the temperature of a coolant, a valve body that is caused by the movement of the thermo element to move toward and away from a valve seat provided to the inner side of the housing and open and close a communication section between a first flow-through port and a second flow-through port, and a biasing member that biases the valve body toward the valve seat. The housing is provided with a main body section, a first housing member having the first flow-through port and the second flow-through port, and a second housing member that has the third flow-through port and that is fastened to the first housing member by rotating in a circumferential direction in relation to the first housing member.

  • Patent number: 10590831
Abstract: An electronically controlled thermostat device simplifies an insulating structure and external portions of the lead wires of a heater incorporated for temperature control of a thermo-element, reduces the number of different parts, and facilitates assembly. A pair of insulating rod pieces clamps the heater at the front and clamps a pair of lead wires from the heater while maintaining an insulated state, and a connector member attached to a side of the insulating rod pieces opposite the portion that holds the heater is mounted on the outside of a device housing. The connector member at an inner end has connector terminals provided with a pair of lead end connecting pieces to which the lead wires are connected, and has an engaging concave portion that engages an engaging convex portion for preventing twisting provided on a side of the insulating rod pieces opposite the portion that holds the heater.
