Abstract: A hair cosmetic is disclosed which comprises the following components (A), (B) and (C):(A) a cationic surfactant;(B) a fat and/or an oil; and(C) an alkyl saccharide surfactant represented by the following formula (1) :R.sup.1 --O--(R.sup.2 O).sub.m --G.sub.n (1)wherein the weight ratio of (A)/(C) is from 1 to 20. A hair cosmetic which further comprises fine particles of an average particle size of 100 .mu.m or below as the component (D) is also disclosed. The hair cosmetic of the present invention gives a good smoothness, a good elasticity and an oil-free feel to the hair without imparting any sticky feel or dry and loose feel thereto.

Abstract: A method for improving the foaming property of a nonionic surfactant having a straight-chain alkyl group containing from 10 to 16 carbon atoms, and an HLB value of about 13.5 or more is disclosed, which comprises adding (b) a fatty acid monoglyceride represented by formula (I):R.sup.1 --CO--OCH.sub.2 CH(OH)CH.sub.2 OH (I)wherein R.sup.1 represents a straight-chain alkyl group having from 9 to 15 carbon atoms, to (a) the nonionic surfactant in a (b)/(a) weight ratio of from 2/8 to 6/5. A low-irritating foaming composition is also disclosed, which comprises (a) a nonionic surfactant having a straight-chain alkyl group containing from 10 to 16 carbon atoms as a hydrophobic group, and an HLB value of about 13.5 or more and (b) a fatty acid monoglyceride represented by formula (I):R.sup.1 --CO--OCH.sub.2 CH(OH)CH.sub.2 OH (I)wherein R.sup.1 represents a straight chain alkyl group having from 9 to 15 carbon atoms, in a (b)/(a) weight ratio of from 2/8 to 6/5.

Abstract: There is disclosed a hair cleansing composition having excellent detergency against oily dirts such as aged high-viscosity silicone compounds. The composition comprises the following components (a) to (d):(a) : 0.05 to 15% by weight of a surfactant,(b) : 0.5 to 40% by weight of an alcohol,(c) : 0.1 to 25% by weight of water, and(d) : 20 to 98% by weight of a liquid oil,wherein a viscosity ratio of a mixture of the components (a) to (c) to a mixture of oil components comprising component (d) is 1 or more.

Abstract: There is disclosed a hair cleansing composition having excellent detergency against oily dirts such as aged high-viscosity silicone compounds. The composition comprises the following components (a) to (d):(a): 0.05 to 15% by weight of a surfactant,(b): 0.5 to 40% by weight of an alcohol,(c): 0.1 to 25% by weight of water, and(d): 20 to 98% by weight of a liquid oil,wherein a viscosity ratio of a mixture of the components (a) to (c) to a mixture of oil components comprising component (d) is 1 or more.
