    Abstract: A feeder is adapted to feed a medium to an apparatus body in a first direction. The feeder is provided with a first face adapted to support the medium from below. A first edge guide is disposed on the first face and having a first guiding face adapted to support a first side edge of the medium. A second edge guide is disposed on the first face and having a second guiding face adapted to support a second side edge of the medium. The first guiding face includes: a second face extending such that a first angle is formed by the first face and the second face; and a third face located in a downstream side of the second face relative to the first direction, and extending such that a second angle which is different from the first angle is formed by the first face and the third face. One of the first angle and the second angle is 90 degrees and the other one is greater than 90 degrees.
