  • Publication number: 20090219876
Abstract: A radio resource allocation control apparatus for controlling allocation of radio resources used in communication by a plurality of user equipment in a wireless communication system, the apparatus including a selecting unit for selecting a user equipment to which the allocation is performed by using a priority evaluation formula in which a plurality of user equipment having wireless communication characteristics that have a higher tendency of being selected as a target of the allocation vary when different coefficients are imparted. • Publication number: 20090180443
Abstract: Upon handover, a mobile station receives, from the movement origin base station, information on the movement destination base station and information relating to a sequence to be used for transmitting a random access signal to the movement destination base station. The mobile station receives a synchronization channel signal transmitted from the movement destination base station. The mobile station transmits the random access signal to the movement destination base station at a timing offset by a prescribed period from a timing of receiving a synchronization channel and at a frequency corresponding to that of the synchronization channel. A position of the timing/frequency used for transmitting the random access signal for the handover is used exclusively by the random access signal transmitted from the mobile terminal for which a handover is being performed or is used exclusively at the same time by a plurality of mobile stations for which handovers are performed.

  • Publication number: 20090175228
Abstract: A base station that assigns frequencies to UP link pilot signals in a radio communication system, where the base station stores the correlation between each of a plurality of pilot sequences having different Peak to Average Power characteristics and a plurality of frequencies that are used for transmitting the pilot sequence by frequency multiplexing, and makes the correlation between each of said pilot sequences and said assigned frequencies in adjacent cells or sectors different. Moreover, the base station measures the reception quality of signals received from a user terminal, makes reference to the stored correlation and finds a pilot sequence having Peak to Average Power characteristic that correspond to said reception quality, then sends an instruction to the user terminal so that the user terminal transmits the pilot sequence using the frequencies assigned to this pilot sequence.

  • Publication number: 20090124261
Abstract: In a mobile communication system that switches a base station, with which a mobile terminal communicates in a cell boundary, from a first base station to a second base station according to handover control, the mobile terminal notifies assignment information on a radio resource assigned by the first base station, to the second base station during handover period, and the second base station collects the assignment information, and assigns a radio resource to a mobile terminal existing in its own cell based on the collected radio resource assignment information, so that interference from the first base station is decreased.

  • Publication number: 20080299984
Abstract: In a radio communication system which uses pilot signals during transmission from a user terminal to a base station, the base station creates and stores a rank table on a peak to average power ratio of each pilot pattern, extracts a transmission power of the user terminal or a power difference between a maximum transmission power and the transmission power of the user terminal on the basis of a receive signal from the user terminal, and allocates a pilot pattern of which peak to average power ratio is good to a user terminal of which transmission power is great, or the power difference is small, with reference to the rank table. Or a pilot pattern in a rank according to the transmission status (e.g. transmission power, distance from the base station) of the user terminal is adaptively allocated to the user terminal.

  • Publication number: 20070248149
Abstract: When a two-dimensional spread code, with which spreading is made in time and frequency directions, is allocated to each channel, spread codes at least one of time and frequency directions of which are mutually orthogonal, and with which despreading can be made with spreading factors that are smaller than the original spreading factors in the respective directions are recognized as selection targets, and a spread code to be allocated to each channel is determined from among the spread codes recognized as the selection targets.
