    Abstract: A cell culture vessel which has, sealed therein, hollow fibers having the function of a semipermeable membrane and a fibrous cell substrate being susceptible to attachment of cells, and has connecting parts communicating with the inner portion of the hollow fiber which opens at both ends of the hollow fiber and connecting parts communicating with the space between the hollow fiber and the vessel, wherein both ends of the hollow fibers are fixed to both end portions of the vessel by partitions so that the inner portion of the hollow fiber communicates with the exterior of the vessel, and wherein the cell substrate is housed in the space between the hollow fiber and the vessel; and a method for cell culture using the cell culture vessel. The cell culture vessel allows a high density culture of an animal cell, in particular, a cell prone to attach to a support.
