  • Publication number: 20130063498
Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a plurality of light emitting elements to display an image; a plurality of pixel circuits including a drive transistor configured to generate a current supplied to each of the light emitting elements, a capacitor having one terminal connected to a gate of the drive transistor, and a reset transistor connected between the gate and a drain of the drive transistor; and a display image determination unit configured to determine a brightness of the image from image data. The reset transistor is brought into a conductive state in a reset period while a voltage of a terminal of the capacitor opposite to the terminal connected to the gate of the drive transistor is set to a data voltage. A length of the reset period is determined according to determination of the display image determination unit. An embodiment of the present invention is the pixel circuit for driving the display apparatus.
