Patent number: 10747948Abstract: A system and method for annotating video content is disclosed. The method receives, from a first client device of an annotating user, annotation data that includes annotations and specifies time portions of a video to include the annotations. The method also receives, from a second client device of a viewing user, a request of the viewing user to view the video with the annotations. The request of the viewing user is associated with a preference of the viewing user to display or hide the annotation during particular time portions of the video while the video is played. Responsive to the request, the method transmits the video with the annotations to the second client device for presentation of the video with the annotations in accordance with the annotation data of the annotating user.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2017Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Assignee: Google LLCInventor: Tsvetomir Petrov Petrov

Patent number: 9767087Abstract: A system and method for annotating video content is disclosed. The system comprises a communication module, a monitor module and a sensor module. The communication module is communicatively coupled to a network to receive the video content. The monitor module is communicatively coupled to the communication module to receive an input and derive an annotation event. The sensor module is communicatively coupled to the monitor module to receive annotation data for annotating the video content. The annotation data comprises position data, time data and annotation content data. The annotation data comprises one or more of a text annotation, an audio, a video, a drawing, a sketch, an image, a streaming feed and a streaming video. The annotation data is either created by a user or uploaded or selected from one or more existing sources when the user adds it.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2012Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Assignee: Google Inc.Inventor: Tsvetomir Petrov Petrov

Publication number: 20160012104Abstract: Many types of devices present a search interface to a user, such as a search textbox where the user may enter text indicating a search query, and then present search results to the user. Such search interfaces are often driven by the user, and prior to selection or the entry of a user-initiated search query, are empty and available for data entry. The present disclosure involves preloading the search interface with a suggested search query that is of interest to the user before receiving a user-initiated search query, which may facilitate the user in identifying search queries that present additional interesting content. The suggested search query may relate to content presented concurrently with the search page, such as a topic presented in an article of a website adjacent to the search interface. An embodiment may also preload the search results to respond more expediently to the suggested search query.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2014Publication date: January 14, 2016Inventor: Tsvetomir Petrov

Patent number: 8615435Abstract: In some examples, aspects of the present disclosure may include techniques to identify a physical location of an item with potentially enhanced precision. In one example, a method includes, receiving an item descriptor that describes one or more physical items. The method also includes receiving a data payload from a peripheral device using short-range wireless communication that includes information usable to locate at least one of the one or more physical items. The further includes selecting physical location data based on the item descriptor and the data payload, wherein the physical location data includes a representation of a physical location of the at least one of the one or more physical items; and outputting the physical location data that is usable to locate the at least one of the one or more physical items.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2011Date of Patent: December 24, 2013Assignee: Google Inc.Inventor: Tsvetomir Petrov Petrov
