  • Patent number: 10707918
Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for on-ground communication using an electrical power distribution system of an aircraft. Specifically, two broadband over power line (BPL) communication modules are communicatively coupled to an electrical power distribution system of an aircraft at different locations. A communication-initiation request is transmitted between these modules and, in some examples, is used to establish communication between the modules. In more specific examples, the receiving module determines received parameters of the communication-initiation request, which depend, at least in part, on characteristics of the electrical power distribution system. The received parameters are compared with expected parameters, and an operating indication of the electrical power distribution system is generated based on this comparison. In some examples, the operating indication is used to verify configuration of the electrical power distribution system (e.g., during aircraft assembly), service requirements (e.

  • Patent number: 7210591
Abstract: A nipple for a baby bottle includes both inner and outer separable members. The inner member defines a valve passage that can be selectively obstructed by a flap of the outer member. The outer and inner members have respective flexible membranes that define a holding chamber having the valve passage as an inlet and an aperture at the tip of the outer member as an outlet. The flap inhibits flow from the holding chamber through the valve passage when the outer member is compressed, and deflects away from the valve passage to allow the holding chamber to receive a fluid through the valve passage when the outer member is released.

  • Patent number: 7040970
Abstract: An apparatus and method for evenly distributing a polishing fluid onto a polishing pad during a chemical mechanical planarization process, wherein the polishing fluid is dispersed by way of a spray being emitted from a spray nozzle. The pattern of polishing fluid applied to the polishing pad can be modified by adjustment of geometric parameters of the spray nozzle. The apparatus is configured with actuating mechanisms for translating and rotating the spray nozzle relative to the polishing pad in order to adjust a pattern of distribution of the polishing fluid. The method of dispersing polishing fluid onto the polishing pad produces an even distribution of polishing fluid across a width of the polishing pad.
