    Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing a substrate are provided. The apparatus includes a pedestal and rotation member, both of which are moveably disposed within a processing chamber. The rotation member is adapted to rotate a substrate disposed in the chamber. The substrate may be supported by an edge ring during processing. The edge ring may selectively engage either the pedestal or the rotation member. In one embodiment, the edge ring engages the pedestal during a deposition process and the edge ring engages the rotation member during rotation of the substrate. The rotation of the substrate during processing may be discrete or continuous.

    Abstract: An image processing system and method is provided. The image processing system includes extracting a first local statistical characteristics from an observed image, generating a low-pass filter according to the first local statistical characteristics to generate a predicted noise image, and extracting second local statistical characteristics from the predicted noise image, extracting a third local statistical characteristics from a predicted original image using the first local statistical characteristics of the observed image and the second local statistical characteristics of the predicted noise image, and setting a flag level indicating a noise level for each pixel of the observed image according to the third local statistical characteristics of the predicted original image to detect noise, and setting a filter coefficient according to the flag level of the detected noise to remove the noise, and restoring the observed image.

The chamber may also include a showerhead. The substrate support may be between the detectors and the window. A second radiant energy source may be included to project energy through the window to a detector. The lumen can include a terminal portion at a distal end and a proximal portion juxtaposed with the terminal portion. An injector plunger can be disposed within the lumen for generating a driving force on the intraocular lens. The injector can include a lens frictional force that has a first value when the lens is at a first location within the proximal portion and a second value when the lens is at a second location within the terminal portion. The first value can be smaller than the second value. In some embodiments, the lens frictional force increases abruptly from the first value to the second value as the lens approaches the distal end of the lumen.
