  • Publication number: 20230195924
Abstract: A method of managing data using a three-tier database to support fast searching and cell-wise access policy management. The method comprises determining access permissions to a three-tier database associated with a user interface by a client application executing on a computer system, wherein the access permissions are applied on a per data cell basis and on a per record basis; presenting records of a selected table of the three-tier database in accordance with the access permissions associated with the user interface by the client application to the user application; receiving an edit by the client application from the user interface; writing the edit to the three-tier database by the client application in accordance with the access permissions; and propagating by the client application change notifications indicating the edit to a plurality of client instances associated with different user interfaces.

  • Publication number: 20070132573
Abstract: U-turn signaling device for vehicles is disclosed, which includes an LED array, and an integrated circuit control circuit which is produces LED activation control signals. These control signals activate the LED array to produce at least three modes of activity including a tail light mode, a turn mode and a U-turn mode in response to activation signals from the tail light, turn signal and U-turn signal respectively. The LED array can be a portable LED array, an embedded LED array or a double-sided LED array. The LED array is a preferably a combo LED array and further includes a monitor screen, which may be mounted in the dashboard of the vehicle, and may include a multi-position turn signal switch. Also disclosed is a flexible U-turn signal device, which may be activated by a wireless remote control switch.

  • Publication number: 20060273891
Abstract: An emergency stop signaling device for vehicles is disclosed, including a deceleration sensor which produces deceleration values, an integrated circuit control circuit which receives the deceleration values and produces LED activation control signals. An LED array lights in response to the LED activation control signals from the Integrated Circuit control circuit to produce a light pattern which is distinguishable from an ordinary braking signal. The deceleration sensor is preferably a digital deceleration sensor. The LED array is a flexible LED array, a portable LED array, a linear LED array or a circular LED or a combination of these. The IC control circuit produces signals which activate the LED array to a plurality modes of activity including a tail light mode, a stop light mode, and a panic stop mode.

  • Publication number: 20060208865
Abstract: The Bluetooth tire pressure monitor system (10) is provided to mount on the various tires (11) of a vehicle, The system (10) includes a pressure sensor (12), a signal emitter (13), a display screen (14) and a signal receiver (15). The pressure sensor (12) and emitter (13) are integrated with a customized inflating valve (21) and installed in the tire (11). The signal receiver (15) and display screen/user interface (14) are placed in the driver's compartment (16) of the vehicle in a highly visible location, usually on the dashboard. The pressure sensor (12) senses the pressure in the tire (11). The signal emitter (13) collects and converts the pressure signal from the pressure sensor (12) and transmits the signal wirelessly (using the Bluetooth protocol) to signal receiver (15) which converts the signal and delivers it to the user interface/display screen (14) which displays the signal.

  • Publication number: 20050086463
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention is directed to a method for accessing configuration registers. An indication that an attempt has been made to access a first register is received. This first register reflects an index variable that points to a configuration register. Next, an indication that an attempt has been made to access a second register is received. This second register reflects part of the contents of a configuration register to which the index variable points. Next, without waiting for another attempt to access the first register, the index variable is changed to point to another configuration register. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 6192442
Abstract: An interrupt controller includes conductors for receiving interrupt request signals, a memory, a register and control logic. Each of the interrupt request signals are capable of indicating an interrupt request. The memory is capable of storing information about the interrupt request signals, and the register is writable to identify a set of locations of the memory for scanning. The control logic scans the set of locations for interrupt requests and does not scan other locations of the memory for interrupt requests. In some cases, the number of interrupt request signals are exceeds the number of locations. For these cases, information about selected interrupt signals are stored in the locations.
