  • Patent number: 11457901
Abstract: A tissue collection device (1) for collection of one or more exposed tissue samples (2) from a biopsy needle or biopsy device, which tissue collection device comprises one or more pieces of a carrier medium (6) and is arranged to temporarily bring a piece of carrier medium into physical contact with the tissue sample, while the tissue sample is still positioned in the biopsy needle or biopsy device, so that the tissue sample (2) adheres to the carrier medium (6) and is removed from the biopsy needle (3) or biopsy device (4) with the carrier medium (6), when the carrier medium (6) is removed from the biopsy needle or biopsy device again. Furthermore, a biopsy device comprising such a tissue collection device is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210252212
Abstract: An osmotic actuator (110) for an injection device (100) is disclosed, which osmotic actuator (110) comprises a pressure chamber (180; 280; 380) having one or more outlets (182; 282; 295; 395) and containing a draw solution, one or more osmotic membranes (130), a cavity (140) containing water, and a dilution-compensating arrangement, wherein the one or more osmotic membranes (130) forms a part of an internal surface area of the pressure chamber (180; 280; 380), wherein the cavity (140) containing water abuts at least part of an external surface of the one or more osmotic membranes (130), and wherein the dilution-compensating arrangement is arranged to compensate for the dilution of the draw solution near the one or more osmotic membranes (130), which occurs when water from the cavity (140) enters the pressure chamber (180; 280; 380) through the one or more osmotic membranes (130). Furthermore, an injection device (100) comprising such an osmotic actuator (110) is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210153850
Abstract: A tissue collection device including a biopsy needle support arrangement to support a biopsy needle so that a tissue compartment in the biopsy needle may be located at a collection position. The tissue collection device includes a carrier medium adapted to adhere to and carry a tissue sample deposited thereon and adapted to be arranged at a deposition position permanently spaced from the collection position. The tissue collection device includes a swiping element adapted to swipe sideward relative to the longitudinal direction through the tissue compartment located at the collection position and in the direction of the deposition position in order to thereby move a tissue sample from the tissue compartment to the carrier medium and to thereby press the tissue sample onto the carrier medium so that the tissue sample is deposited on the carrier medium.
