  • Patent number: 5255255
Abstract: There is disclosed a disk loading device capable of transferring a disk without damaging a face of the disk. The disk loading device includes a roller movement mechanism for moving a roller toward and away from a path of transfer of the disk, and a roller drive mechanism for rotating the roller. The roller is brought by the roller movement mechanism into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the inserted disk, so that the disk is transferred by the rotational drive force of the rotating roller in a predetermined direction. For discharging the disk, the outer peripheral surface of the disk is urged by an eject mechanism operatively connected to the roller drive mechanism, so that the disk is ejected.
