  • Patent number: 5873293
Abstract: A method and device for slitting a magnetic recording medium which can maintain high cutting quality of the cutting edges of upper and lower rotary blades by adjusting the device slightly even if the cutting edges are worn to a certain degree and thus ensure the quality of the slit surface of the magnetic recording medium. When the lower rotary blade 2 and upper rotary blade 1 are slid and rotated with the respective side surfaces of the cutting edges thereof in contact with each other, and a long magnetic recording medium supplied between the upper and lower rotary blades is successively slit to thereby produce a plurality of magnetic recording mediums, an angle of intersection between the rotary shaft 14 of the upper rotary blade 1 and the rotary shaft 24 of the lower rotary blade 2 is adjusted according to the states of wear of the upper and lower rotary blades.

  • Patent number: 5407056
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for distributively feeding a plurality of winding bobbins to predetermined locations, wherein the winding bobbins can simultaneously be fitted onto a rotational shaft without the necessity for large-sized equipment. The apparatus includes a distributing section to which a plurality of winding bobbins are fed while arranged in side-by-side relationship as seen in the axial direction. The distributing section includes a plurality of inclined surfaces so as to allow the winding bobbins to be supported from below. After the winding bobbins are placed on the inclined surfaces, they are distributively fed to the predetermined location along the inclined surfaces in the specifically determined direction.

  • Patent number: 4133491
Abstract: A number of reel groups each consisting of two or more reels are axially arranged side by side on reel support shafts. A number of tapes equal to the number of reel groups are wound simultaneously, one on a corresponding reel of each reel group. When the tapes are fully wound up on the reels of the reel groups, the reel groups are axially shifted on the shafts to change reels. The axial movement of the reel groups may be made by axially sliding the reels on the shaft or by axially shifting the reels and the shaft together.
