  • Publication number: 20100129543
Abstract: A gluing mechanism incorporating a notched glue scraper and a method thereof are disclosed. A glue dispensing roller is provided adjacent to a web material traveling path where a web material is conveyed to get past, and operated to touch glue contained in a glue tank, and accordingly, a glue carrying roller surface of the glue dispensing roller is coated with the glue. A notched scraper blade, which faces the glue carrying roller surface of the glue dispensing roller, scrapes the glue stayed on the portion of the glue carrying roller surface, which corresponds with the non-notched area of the scraper edge. Comparatively, the glue stayed on the rest of the glue carrying roller surface is formed a glue layer for subsequently applying to a gluing side of the web material, wherein the rest of the glue carrying roller surface corresponds with notched area of the scraper edge.

  • Patent number: 7641142
Abstract: A log multiprocessing apparatus winds a web material around a winding core to form a log. Once the log is about to be completed, the web material is severed to form a tail of the log, and a pattern including at least one glue layer is applied on the tail of the log. The log then is decelerated and the tail is pressed on the log to form a final sealed log of web material.

  • Publication number: 20090137375
Abstract: In a mechanism and method for bonding two paper sheets on an interfolding machine, pre-compressing mechanisms are provided on each of two folding rollers to produce compress-to-bond areas on overlapped portions of two thick or air-impermeable paper sheets transferred to the two folding rollers, so that all plies of the two paper sheets at the compress-to-bond areas are compressed to bond together. Thereby, when the interfolding machine operates at a high speed, a plurality of the locally compressed and bonded paper sheets may still be smoothly folded to form a stack of interfolded paper sheets, such as a tissue paper stack or a paper towel stack.

  • Patent number: 7494086
Abstract: A web material winding machine includes a core tube storage tank, a guiding unit, a transmission means, a web material feeding assembly, a gripping assembly and a second gluing mechanism. A glued core tube is conveyed from the guiding unit to the transmission means and the web material is fed to the transmission means. The transmission means pushes the core tube to move to the gripping assembly and the web material is stuck to the core tube. The web material winds around the working core tube and when the winding is nearly completed, a new core tube is conveyed to the transporting passage and interferes with the feeding speed of the web material, causing the web material to tear along a line of perforations. A tail glue is applied to the web material of the web-wound roll by the second gluing mechanism and a web-wound roll is produced.

  • Publication number: 20090026299
Abstract: A tissue paper winding machine includes a first winding roller and a web separator arranged below the first winding roller. A tissue paper is fed into the winding machine to bear against a lower circumferential surface of the first winding roller and moves along a predetermined feeding direction for winding around a core. The web separator includes a pivot shaft, at least one pinch arm having a connecting end connected to the pivot shaft and a pressing end radially outward extended from the pivot shaft, and a driving mechanism for driving the pinch arm to turn about the pivot shaft reverse to the feeding direction of the tissue paper. When the pressing end of the pinch arm is turned to a separation position, it cooperates with the first winding roller to clamp the tissue paper therebetween, and applies a reverse pulling force to split the tissue paper.

  • Publication number: 20090025863
Abstract: A gluing mechanism and method is used to dispense glue onto predetermined positions at a gluing side of a long tape of tissue paper when the tissue paper is feeding through a winding machine. The gluing mechanism includes a glue dispensing roller oriented towards and located at a predetermined distance from the gluing side of the tissue paper; at least one gluing member located near a predetermined feeding path of the tissue paper to orient toward a contact side of the tissue paper opposite to the gluing side, and including a pivot end and an action end. A driving mechanism is connected to the pivot end of the gluing member for driving the gluing member to turn about the pivot end, so as to move the action end of the gluing member to a glue dispensing position oriented toward the glue dispensing roller or away from the glue dispensing position.

  • Patent number: 7469856
Abstract: A tissue paper winding and cutting machine includes a first winding roller, at least one core support plate arranged near the first winding roller to form a channel between them, and a pre-winding roller arranged near and below the first winding roller with a circumferential surface facing toward the first winding roller and protruding into the channel to form a narrowed passage in the channel. The pre-winding roller rotates about a shaft thereof in a direction opposite to a predetermined moving direction of a tissue paper to be wound around cores, and at a rotation speed slower than that of the first winding roller. With the rotation speed difference between the pre-winding roller and the first winding roller, a core moved into the channel is temporarily held at the narrowed passage, so that the tissue paper fed into the channel is wound around the core before being pulled broken.

  • Publication number: 20080271869
Abstract: A tissue paper winding and cutting apparatus includes a first winding roll, at least one core support plate, a pinch roller, and at least one arm. A channel is formed between the core support plate and the first winding roll. A tissue paper is attached to a lower half of the first winding roll for winding around a first core. The pinch roller is arranged below the first winding roll to partially project into the channel, and the arm is extended to a lower side of the first winding roll and has a bottom protuberance facing the pinch roller, so that a narrowed passage is formed in the channel. A second core rolling to and hindered by the narrowed passage holds the tissue paper thereto, and the tissue paper is pulled broken by a pulling force from a rolled tissue formed on the first core.

  • Publication number: 20070246595
Abstract: A web material winding machine includes a core tube storage tank, a guiding unit, a transmission means, a web material feeding assembly, a gripping assembly and a second gluing mechanism. A core tube is glued with initial glue and conveyed from the guiding unit to the transmission means. Meanwhile, the web material is fed by the web material feeding assembly to the transmission means at a normal speed. The transmission means pushes the core tube to move through a transporting passage to the gripping assembly and the web material is stuck to the core tube. The web material winds around the core tube at the winding region. When the winding is nearly completed, a new core tube is conveyed to the transporting passage and interferes the speeding of web material, causing the web material to tear along the perforation line. A tail glue is applied to the completed core tube by the second gluing mechanism and a roll is produced.
