  • Patent number: 12275932
Abstract: A cell manipulation panel includes a pixel array defining multiple pixels, an insulating layer forming multiple vias, and a cell gap provided with a fluid medium having cells therein. Each pixel has a TFT and corresponds to a corresponding via. The TFT includes a gate electrode, a first electrode, and a second electrode partially exposed to the fluid medium through the corresponding via. For each pixel, in an operational mode, when the gate electrode is provided with an OFF signal and the first electrode is not grounded, the TFT is turned off, allowing one of the cells in the fluid medium to be captured in the corresponding via by a dielectrophoresis (DEP) force. When the gate electrode is provided with an ON signal and the first electrode is grounded, the TFT is turned on, and the second electrode is grounded to release the captured cell to the fluid medium.

  • Patent number: 11392207
Abstract: A touch device includes a substrate, multiple first electrodes, multiple second electrodes, multiple third electrodes, and a control circuit. The control circuit senses a touch position based on a first signal from the first electrodes. The control circuit transmits a second signal to the second electrodes based on the touch position, such that the second electrodes provide a first haptic feedback which is parallel to a top surface of the substrate. The control circuit also transmits a third signal to the third electrodes based on the touch position, such that the third electrodes provide a second haptic feedback along with a normal vector of the top surface of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20160086044
Abstract: An optical device includes a substrate, a sensor layer, a light-filtering layer, and a control module. The sensor layer is disposed on the substrate and generates a pre-scan image. The light-filtering layer is disposed over the sensor layer, wherein the light-filtering layer allows or blocks external light from reaching the sensor layer. The control module is coupled to the sensor layer and the light-filtering layer, wherein the control module controls the light-filtering layer according to the pre-scan image to selectively allow or block external light.

  • Publication number: 20140111467
Abstract: An in-cell touch display panel includes a plurality of first sensing electrodes, a pixel matrix, a plurality of second sensing electrodes, a touch control unit, and a display driving unit. The plurality of first sensing electrodes are for generating touch sensing signals according to touch scanning signals. The plurality of second sensing electrodes are utilized as common voltage electrodes of pixels of the pixel matrix. Wherein when the display driving unit drives pixels of a first block of the pixel matrix to display image, the display driving unit outputs a common voltage to the pixels of the first block via the second sensing electrodes corresponding to the first block, and outputs the touch scanning signals via the second sensing electrodes corresponding to a second block of the pixel matrix; and wherein the display driving unit switches a frequency of the touch scanning signals according to magnitude of a noise.
